I am wondering if any of you have had a similar issue. My 10 year old son
has had weird sleep patterns. Not all the time but alot. He talks alot in his sleep, and even sleepwalks sometimes. But the weirdest thing is he sits up in the middle of the night and
is still in a deep sleep. but he is sitting straight up. He is not leaning against the wall or anything, he is just sitting cross legged and asleep. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and check on him and he is sitting up asleep, and I wonder how long he has been in that position. I keep thinking he will grow out of it.
But he has been doing this for years. We had bunk beds for the boys but never could put him up on top. I am worrried that he will fall of on the bottom bunk. He never seems to, weird.
I keep thinking that he is not getting the best restful sleep that he can. He wakes up crabby and I know that he is needing more sleep.

certain your child needs more sleep is not sour because he so harassed and can not be fully and sleep quality.

Thank you for the reply, I have not yet taken him to a sleep specialist.
But being a single mother of 4, cannot afford it at this time. But he
doesnt seem to do it more that once or twice a week maybe. I just have never had
heard of this sleep pattern. None of my other kids have had any weird sleep patterns.
Again thanks for the reply.
