hello mylotters,in these days our mail boxes are full with scam mails and other advertiesemnt stuffs.and rarely contact mails.
i everyday check my mails but generally the mails are from other internet sites,or ptc sites or annoying advertisement sites.
but as i can remember ,when we were using only hotmail, maybe 5 years ago,it was not like now.
i mean i rarely was getting funny and meaningless mails before.i think after internet came to our life directly and 100 percent ,many people try to earn and send us meaningless mails, and try to hunt us,or just disturbs.
me personally if i see funny mails and dont know where it comes from,i just carry it to scam folder, believe me it still doesnt work sometimes
now i use gmail ,its usefull but even i carry the advertiesements mails to meaningless folder, they still continue coming.
how about you mylotters and my friends?
how often do you check your mails, do you also get meaningless mails?
what do you do when you saw them?

I check my email everyday because, I have some e-mails that i earn money from, so that is why I have to take the time, to check my email everyday, and all the unwanted emails I spend time, deleting them anyway, I do this when I have nothing else left to do.

Once a week at most.
Having labeled folders and filters really helps, but is not always a fool proof method. For example: in my account to this site is a folder called "Mylot " and that is where all my notifications are supposed to go. Occasionally however a few will stray into the regular inbox rather than going to their designated location.
Most of the spam is kept out of my inbox through filters that automatically delete them, but some still ends up in the junk folder. That folder is hidden though, so I tend to forget it exists unless something important ends up there.

As and when I come online, I try to remember to check. I won't open every mail since some are pretty suspicious looking (like saying I've won this or that).
Frankly, most people prefer to juz use other means (e.g whatsapp, viber) to communicate nowadays.

The gmail seems to be safer than the others, in my own opinion.

i see, generally many people has same problem,i think you can do some settings in your mailbox,
for example you can carry the meaningless mails to your scam part of your our mailbox,so next time they will come to your scam part.
so they will not be more in received mail part
happy mylotting

I often check my emails. Although today there are many contact methods, but email is still one of the most contact ways for me. Although there are a lot of scams today, but most of them are filtered automatically by my email account. And therefore it is not very bothering for me. Besides SMS and calls, emails is an direct way to contact me.

My first email was in yahoo! mail. That mail is full of annoying scam and meaningless message, as I used it to register in some meaningless site. Then the last time I checked it, it has like 7000 mail and I think the important ones are only 20 or 30. I lost track of my important messages. What I am using now is gmail. I checked it everyday, cleaning and deleting any not important messages. I guess it is important to check your email at least every day, to organize messages you receive.

I check my email everyday, to check if there is a newsletter, i'm fond of subscribing of news letter, i don't usually check my email to see if there is email that came from my friends, they don't email me actually unless it is a private matter or about business, we usually talk on yahoo messenger, if i found an email that looks like a spam, i send it to spam folder, i don't usually check my spam folder, i right away delete spam emails on my spam folder without reading them, but sometimes if i have an urge feeling to check my spam folder, that's the time that i will check my spam folder.
