I think at exactly 10:30 am here in the Philippines a sudden earthquake occur. This is my second time to encounter an earthquake, thank God because we are safe and the earthquake not very strong. I feel so dizzy after the earthquake. We are on our room busy watching talking tom with my son, we are alone here at house, my husband is at school busy for his coming graduation and my father went to the grocery to buy some foods. Then suddenly Our bed is shaking I thought my son is jumping then when I saw him he is lying in our bed, then I saw our chair shaking too, OMG! EARTHQUAKE! I hugged my son and pray. Thank God that the tearthquake run too fast. i hope no more eathquake will occur. BE safe everyone.

Hi, I didn't feel a thing here, we were busy walking around the country side under the hot sun. Maybe I am too far away from it, still it is worth noting it was a strong one by the way you described it. My automatic notification from USGS did not mentioned it in my email or it is still on the way, I would know it how strong it is then.

I didn't feel it either. I was surprised when I watched the news about the earthquake. Maybe it's not that strong here in my city.

Yeah. I remember that situation when I was at my own room and because I was alone at my room and I got lack of sleep, I thought there was something wrong about me. It is because what I feel is that the the walls is shaking but because I read this, I realize that I am not the only one who experience about earthquake.

I just heard it in the news but no one in the house felt that earthquake. The last earthquake I felt, I'm in the 3rd floor of a building and I thought someone pulled my chair so hard to the right till everyone feels it's a very short earthquake. It's okay at day but it's frightening at night.

Stay safe. How strong was it? When I was in California, I felt some earthquake as strong as around 7 on the Richter scale...

When Mother Earth shakes her skin, we are reminded how much control we humans don't have. It's scary. But this was also a warning for you, you should look for a place that you and your child can be as safe as possible. You should also have supplies on hand in case of need. Humans have no control over nature and one thing is sure nature is going to do it's thing many times in our lives.

We get these quakes here in Trinidad quite often and we are supposed to be getting a big one that will wreak destruction for decades now. Nothing ever happens and they spend millions on a disaster organisation that deals mostly with seasonal floods.

An earthquake can always be a big terror for everyone. It disrupts everything in the normal life. It disrupts electricity supply, traffic on the road and of course peace of mind. I am happy you are all fine in your place.

I was mobile @10:27 am, did not feel the quake. My friend, though, dwells on an 11th floor condo, so, she rocked! Please check exits, especially so because you have a son. Check also where you can take initial cover, and you must teach your son the do's during earthquakes. That is important. The weather is weird. It is so hot that the earth has gone arid. Some changes must also be occurring underneath. Just take caution.

I've heard it too but here in our province I never felt it. Philvocs spokesman said that it's origin/epicenter is somewhere in Aurora. Magnitude 5 and lower in the neighboring provinces. I guess, it was felt too in Metro Manila but not that strong. I just hope all members of your family are safe.

Earthquakes can happen anytime though not anywhere. The earth is wide enough to keep earthquakes affecting only a small part of a country. If in case a quake occurs, stay in a safe area and make sure other persons don't get a heart attack. Don't appear panic because if another person see you panicking it starts a chain reaction and soon everyone panics.

Good to know that you and your family are safe. I experienced very little earthquakes when in childhood. My mom told me to take God's name.
