Now a days children or babies are advanced or they are in a new generation. When I was young I used to play hide and seek, jumping rope, play paper doll, pass the ball, chinese garter, Sungka, scrabble and so on. But now a days children are so techie they know how to play in computer, psp, ipad, xbox and other gadget. Just like my baby boy he is just turning 2 and he know's how to play in ipad, he can play angry birds, temple run, mickey mouse adventure and mickey mouse clubhouse he can do it by himself.
Now a days children prefer to stay at home play with computers or any gadget they have than to play outside with thier playmates. I know some people who used to play outside they are the people who have no gadgets at all. How I loved my childhood days because I experienced playing all native games.

My children prefer to play outside rather then be on the computer. I guess I am lucky. We live in the country. They like to ride bikes, swim, play with their friends, on the playground, with their dolls, build forts, play sports, and occasionally watch a movie or watch a youtube channel.

Yes I too enjoyed playing outside after the chores were done. We would be outside till dinner time. Now adays you can't find a child playing outside like we did when we were younger. My daughters goes out with the kids to the park or the backyard because she is trying to keep them active in all things. She lets them play games on the computer but also my oldest granddaughter is being schooled at home so she is on the computer doing that too. She knows how to deal with the tv, the Wii, DVD player the phone. Its amazing because we didn't have all that when we were growing up so they will definitely be smarter then their parents or grandparents.

When I was a small boy I played marbles and tops. All our friends played cheap games like playing rounder which is a form of baseball. We made our own kites and fly them to challenge one another by coating glass on the string to cut the opponent's. When opponent lost his kite and picked up his kite it belongs the the finder as we pracitse ' finder keeper.'We caught fighting fish to fight against opponent's fish. Even though we fight against one another in games we are all friends.

yes your absolutely right, now the generation is faster and more interested to be with computers and other things. Not many are intersted with games and spending time out, but its good for health and mind to be out for a while and get refreshed so that some things can be seen and learnt practically not by playing on computer or learning on computer.

Yes I know what you mean. It is crazy how technology can really change things. We are working to nourish our daughters love for the outdoors. She doesn't have games like that because I prefer for her not to at present. But we do go to parks, and for walks and things like that often. We will be doing that, going swimming, and hopefully camping as the weather gets warmer.

Wow, that was quite a lot of outdoor games that you played during your childhood.
they are really enriching physically and mentally too. Yes, nowadays children
are exposed to more technology gadgets. I noticed parents will just let their
babies and toddlers playing with iPhone, iPad etc during meal times and they
to not disturb their parents as they are to engrossed in it.

Indeed, during the time the children are playing, so there's nothing wrong with a game. The question is whether the form of the game does not become a reference that may affect the character of the future? And if so, what form of the game with today's methods will not affect the formation of the character of our children in the future?
Looks like they did not know the time of the game I was a child, should I be sad? I think I want to teach my son later on, or introduce him a few games of my childhood. In order to know how much fun my little game. Is this a dream?

I think all of the technology has taken some of the children's imagination away from them... Now they don't need to pretend and make up games so much because they have other things they do on computers and games and such... My children are allowed to play games on my phone, for an hour a day. That's it. I limit it because I don't want them to be couch potato's or lazy. The rest of the day they have to play... And the games they play on there are learning games. Lol. :)

I still experienced playing outdoors games when i was a child.. maybe the reason why parents opt to buy their children gadgets and play it at home instead of outdoor games because of crime that are rampant now a days.. If I were a mother I rather let my child stay at home than allows my child to play outside wherein dnager is all around...

Nowadays, children prefer stay at home in front of TV, computer, laptop, pc and other gadgets, to play many kind of games. They almost never go to outside to play native games. Sometimes, I afraid about their social skill, maybe they will be an individual person when they reach adult.

I think these children are missing out on a huge part of life and becoming far too relient on machines for everything they do in life.
When I was growing up I was hardly ever at home as I spent most of my free time out with friends playing in the street, in the fields and, in the summer, swimming in the river.
Nowdays they use any excuse to stay indoors saying that the streets are too dangerous, the river is too dirty or whatever.
I know that a lot of this is true, but look at the fun and learning experience they are missing out on, to say nothing of the fitness and friendships that are lost.
Being clever with machines and having a good online social network is very important these days, but they are missing so much in other vital areas.

Well, I guess this is just the trend of the new generations. Many are also under peer pressure when they started their pre-school and so on. With more exposure, children can learn things in a much faster pace.

I agree with that it is totally a different world from the one at our teenage, I think it is exactly something about the new generation you mentioned. We were playing with our really friends that time, rather than mechines nowadays. I would choose the really litthe friends if it is alternative.

I do not know if the children nowadays are smarter, or as you said it's just different generation. Young kids nowadays can easily learn how to operate handphone, camera or any electronic device. I just can't imagine how fast they learn, and they really have great interest in those electronic devices.
I still introduce those old time games to my son, as I still prefer him to play those natural games. Also, I do not expose computer or TV to him, though he is interested in them too. I'd prefer him to play outside, get wet in the rain, get under the sun.

You should also encourage tour kid to do other activities that will not limit him sitting in a corner and just using a single finger in playing. It is still a lot different if kids are able to run around and be involved with sports.

I can imagine your little child playing the games he likes in front of computer. I think most children today are a little addicted to computer games and games on smart phone or ipad. My child did it, too.
In fact, I feel worried about it. Children today just spent too much time on games and some of them have poor eyesight because of it. And some of them are so addicted to it that they can not even tell which is real world and which is virtual world, they don't like study, the games are the only things they like. So sometimes I limit the time my child spends on the computer.
Playing games really brings children fun, but still I hope the disadvantages of it will be reduced.
Thanks for sharing, and wish your baby boy a happy time.

I also do play those games before, and im also a techie type of person even before when i was a kid . But before when i see my self playing alone in front of the pc , i get bored. So i go outside to join other kids playing hide and seek. But now my nieces always play ipad . They get easily sick because of lack in physical activities.
