I have used self hypnosis to get over insomnia. It was about 20 years ago. I had a tape that that a doctor had made specifically for sleep. It was very good and when I used it I got the best sleep I ever had. I never heard the end of the tape because I always fell asleep before it ended. But yes, I believe self hypnosis is possible and helpful. I don't believe that a person can hypnotize themselves into doing anything that they absolutely don't want to do or something that is not really typical of them. That is to say, if you are a very lazy person and prefer to be that way, have always been that way, I don't believe that you can hypnotize yourself to be any other way. But that's just my opinion.

Good afternoon, Miss Mavic123456. Yes, anti histamine will definitely work. The tape was like a relaxation tape and possibly the power of suggestion. But it was very good. The part that made me realize or think that it was hypnosis was a little way into the tape. I don't know how many minutes. But you start by laying down on your back, relaxed, and tightening up your toes slowly while counting to 5 (or 10, can't remember) per the tape. His voice was very calm and expressionless. Then you totally relax your toes slowly, counting again. Then you do the same for you lower legs, upper legs, working up your body one part at a time. You're focusing on one point on the wall and you're very relaxed. He's speaking and then he says that your hands will feel warm and very light, that your hands will rise. And, swear to God, they did. LOL (this is the part that I figured was hypnosis) I was very surprised because I didn't expect anything like that. My hands did feel warm (I have always had cold hands) and very light and they rose slowly about maybe a foot and then relaxed (per the tape and they came back down slowly to rest at my sides. I think it was a few minutes after that I fell asleep. And it was a very deep, restful sleep. For about 8 hours. When I woke up I felt really rested. Whatever it was, it always worked for me.

anti histamine works for me in my insomnia hehehe. I can't imagine myself hypnotizing myself. (Oh well different from what I saw and imagine on how hypnosis is done) LOL. For me it is not self hypnosis it is more on paradigm shift or changes in perspective

i don't know if this is called hypnosis. it is more convincing yourself and seeing a positive result in your mind. It is called "visualization" I am not sure if it is same with hypnosis

If you want to release stress, search "tibetan singing bowl meditation" on youtube. You don't have to do anything, just listen.

Yes even i know about this before but i personally believe that hypnosis can never do any kind of benefit to anyone. I would rather recommend Yoga or meditation if someone really wants to get rid of tensions or stress. in fact through meditation we can gain many powerful vibes that will help us retain our own self.
