yeah, when there is dandruff in the scalp it's really itching and its irritates well.Of course Head & Shoulders is a good option to resist the dandruff but my suggestion is that start oiling your head. I have heard that the dandruff comes when the head scalp is too dry. Therefore oiling your hair removes the dryness and so the dandruff.

Try using an anti-dandruff shampoo. Then when it disappears, switch to a milder shampoo and try not to use it everyday. Shampooing your hair would cause more harm than good, really.

I have the same problem, and I use head and shoulders, and I did not know this stuff doesn't work on your hair, I won't be wasting my money buying, this expensive shampoo any more, I will go with the baby oil, in my hair and just use regular shampoo instead.

My son used to have dandruff and after he used head and shoulder, the situation improves. The hairdresser advises him not to scratch too hard on the scalp as it may cause damage to the scalp and cause dandruff too. Dryness is the main cause of dandruff. So, it is good to wash your hair alternate day.

Look at your diet. If you can't find the cause it may just be stress, many things can upset our bodies. You may need o start a diary of times it's worse and then connect it to something else going on in your life. I fought this forever and so I understand. Fat was my problem, fried meat of any kind did me in.

My husband has dandruff really bad too. He switched to the Neutrogena brand that takes care of dandruff. He has done much better. He has been using it for a while and it takes care of his problems. If he stops using it though, it comes back.

you can try a little baby oil on your scalp. Not too much on your hair because you don't want your hair to look oily. But applying it to the scalp should help. I hope you see a difference soon.

My son has the same problem. he used Head and Shoulders for years, and it did nothing. I finally purchased the more expensive dandruff treatments for him, and they helped immensely. Sometimes you have to spend a bit more to get rid of the problem.

I've heard about using apple cider vinegar and diluting it with water as a rinse that may help get rid of dandruff. It won't really smell after, but I don't know if you would want that. Plus, it does not have any chemical in it and its all natural.
