Alright guys and girls, Who is better Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo?

I have been seeing this discussion for a very very long time and I thought we could settle it here. I think Cristiano Ronaldo is better Lionel Messi and I will tell you why. I feel Ronaldo has a better control on the ball with his pace and mainly he isnt a striker whereas messi is. Though Ronaldo is elder than messi I think CR7 is BETTER may not be the best ever.

I think Messi is better.
As football players i think they are differend, with differend good and bad attributes.
But as people, Messi is a stable good person.
Ronaldo is a crybaby that doesnt know how to behave, a prick.
So weighting them both on a scale of beterness, messi weights much much more. :)

I would have to agree with Legal if we are going on them as people, then Messi is definitely better.
However, if we are talking about skill, then Ronaldo definitely. It is was thing to be a striker and score, it is another to be a winger, have the ability to score, plus have the ball control that Ronaldo has. Being a striker takes skill in accuracy, but not so much in other areas that are key to other positions.
I play, have been for 15 years and I am both a forward and a defender. Good at both.
Just my opinion.

To start off with, Christiano Ronaldo was no where near as good as Lionel Messi. However now Ronaldo has improved a lot. Messi wouldn't be the greatest player in the world without Xavi or Iniesta. Whereas Ronaldo is an amazing player and all he needs is himself. Therefore, Ronaldo is better than Messi
