To prevent bad breath due to eating of species , one way is to gargle a glass of water with a tablespoon of Apple Cedar vinegar. Gargle it for 20 seconds then rinse. Another is to drink plenty of water before sleeping and as waking up in the morning , this will help remove unwanted smell from mouth. Lastly is to eat avocado . This will help in removing intestinal decomposition that causes bad breath.

Oh , then chew some mint gums or any candy will do , am sure you always have a candy or a gum in your bag . If unfortunately you've forgot to bring anything then worry not best option for you is to keep quiet. They won't be able to smell your breath since no air comes out from your mouth.

What if there's no apple cider vinegar? Say, you're eating in a fast food center?

There's actually a toothpaste & mouth rinse produced in the US that addresses halitosis, but it's expensive. If money is no object, you could get it here: http://www.drkatz.com/. If you're looking for a home remedy, though, herbs like parsley & anise/fennel should do the trick.

Totally agree with you, though Katz' products can be 8x more expensive than regular ones. Will certainly pay off for those who can afford it.

I think it is worthy to pay more for the dental health. As you know, it is quite expensive to go to see a dentist.

A good way to remove the bad breath is to brush the teeth after eating something like garlic and green onion. Or chewing bubble gum works. You may give it a try. Take care, youless.

After eating these kind of food, clean your month may be a good choice. Brush teeth after having it or use the chewing gum to remove the smell may be workful. Usually the smell will go out after a night sleep, so you can have them in the dinner and will have no smell in the next morning.

well there are some instances that bad breath is caused by medical condition like stomach ulcer and can only be remedied by medication.

Best to brush your teeth and use a mouth wash to rinse your mouth after eating food that causes bad breath. If you cannot do that, eat some mint or chewing gum. Sometimes a cup of hot tea helps. Green tea or mint tea works best. You can try sucking a slice of lemon if you find one in your drink at the restaurant/cafe.

I always chew gum afterwards, sugar free naturally, that usually takes away the pungent after taste of onions, I don't eat garlic, although it is very healthy and of course it keeps the vampires away

Well I love those spices, and they have beneficial effects to your health. But yeah, after eating them, they tend to leave an after taste and as well a smell. I suggest drinking some water, then brush your teeth and use a mixture of water and dissolved baking soda (about 2-3 teaspoon or 1 tablespoon) as a mouth wash.
