Most of my sites have been making it more difficult to earn money

I am on many sites just like other mylotters. Since the 1st of the year, most of them are making it more difficult to earn enough to cashout. Most recently, it is Inbox Dollars. Before that it was Helium and then there have been several others. They are engaging in behaviors that are suspicious and a little scammy. I have written about Helium dropping my rating stars from 5 to 4 so that I did not get my $3 rating bonus. I was never able to bring it back to 5 and I have given up. I have about $20 in my account but I can not cashout until I have $25. I mainly earn through ratings. Now it is Inbox Dollars that is pulling something on me. I have been with Inbox Dollars for a few years. I cash out about once a year for $30. You can not cash out until you reach $30. I have just over $23 in my account. With Inbox Dollars, I mostly earn by reading paid emails sent me and watching videos. I have received an email from them telling me that I am not participating enough. I need to take offers or do surveys in order to continue receiving emails. Well, I have been taking free offers but my Inbox Dollars account is not getting credited. Instead SendEarnings which is the sister site is getting the credit. I am also with Send Earnings but I only have $10 in that account and I need $30 to cash out. I never qualify for Inbox Dollars surveys. The free offers offered on their site are the same offers offered on my other sites and I have signed up for most of the ones that I am interested in. Other sites are doing other things to make it more difficult to earn. A few of my sites have improved but the majority are doing things that are making it more difficult to earn and cash out. Have other mylotters noticed that some of their sites are making it more difficult to earn and cash out since the beginning of 2013?

Hi bostonphil! I am not a member of those sites that you mentioned aside from myLot. I have a different experience upon the start of the year because I discovered several sites which gave me additional income. One thing I've noticed about those sites that you mentioned is the high minimum pay out which you could not just reach in a week for instance. There are still other sites around which you could try. Have a nice day!

With inbox Dollars, you could reach the minimum amount fast if you purchase something through the site. You are right. The sites that I have been having problems with require high minimum amounts in order to cash out and they are becoming more demanding. As of right now, I have lost $20 to helium and $23 to Inbox plus a lot of time. I am putting my time and energy into other sites. Some are old sites and some new.

Yeah, it has been kind of harder for me to earn extra money, but I am getting paid for it so I am trying to keep working for some extra money.

I am having to cut back on some of my sites because these sites are making it not worth my time but I am putting my time and energy into those sites that remain good for me and to me. I am also exploring signing up with new and different sites.

Operating environment always changes, you have to adapt. I have a number of articles at helium and they are still generating monies. But it's not as much as last time. Articles get obsolete over time. I mainly earn through articles and sharing my experiences. I agree it's getting more and more challenging nowadays.

I believe that I am still earning a very little money on Helium from my articles but most of my Helium money came from ratings. I am fairly busy and do not have much time to write at this point in time. You said it right when you said that the operating environment is getting more challenging.

forgot to mention - I got an email from Valued Opinions about the cost of their amazon gift codes going up. I used to cash out four or five twenty dollar amazon gift codes each year from them. Now - they are charging a 3.00 fee! In other words - if you want the gift code, you have to have 23.00 bucks in your account! Not worth it. When I reach 23.00 I'll cash out then quit. I'll probably get the same surveys from better sites.

I just got and completed a survey from My View. Are you the mylotter who told me about My View? Someone did on my discussion about MySurvey. I joined My View and get a survey almost daily. I have been able to complete some and have been credited for every one. I also get points when I do not qualify. But I am getting suspicious and cynical. MySurvey, Helium and Inbox have all pulled the plug on me as I got close to cashing out. I don't trust any of these sites anymore. I wonder which site is going to screw me next. And the sites that I have recently had problems with are all reputable, legit and trusted sites.

You are a shopper. You are probably a more valuable member than I am. I almost never buy anything. I received $15 to PayPal from MySurvey but I have never received another survey. I have a feeling they will not use me again. I am sorry that it ended this way.

I belong to Swagbucks - love it as I do lots of shopping at Amazon and they are the ONLY site to give credit for shopping there - at least, for some items, like now it's clothing. I have over 300 swagbucks pending for some clothing purchases I made recently. And yes, I do belong to MyView - about two years ago I cashed out a 15 dollar amazon gift code from them, and my points are adding up slowly - I don't often have time for the surveys with all the sites I belong to.

Some sites are getting harder to earn from. It makes it a bit more of a challenge. Luckily, most of mine are still good.

Some of my sites are still good. There are a few others that are changing or tightening up making it more difficult to earn. I am putting more time into those sites that remain member friendly and I am seeking new sites as well.

In all honesty, I think it depends on what your goals are. If you want to make millions, you will naturally think sites are slow. If you only want to make a few dollars, it will seem pretty quick.

Hi there ! One concept formed in my mind that to look for a money is never easy .I felt bit worried to know that whole year working in a certain site then just earning that $30 ? It is never easy to write and write , to sleep late just to be able to write. I guess we can get $30 in Mylot with a span of 3 or 4 months. If i am to be asked , i'd rather stay in Mylot . In here our earnings are unlimited. It depends how we work. Big earnings in our hand , what is sure is our effort is always compensated here if we just follow rules.

I have favorite sites that I put a lot of time and energy into. I earn more than $30 on these sites. The ones that I mentioned are complimentary sites. I use them to compliment my others. I was spending a lot of time on helium which has stopped but not on Inbox Dollars. Mylot is one of my favorite sites. I use it more to post than to earn but I like the earnings as much as the postings.

hi phil with me its mysurvey.com as for years I could count on them to pay me ten to twenty dollars a monh for really fun surveys.but now they do not give me any surveys unless I load their software into my computer which I will not do as I dislike foreign software as it usually dumps some malware in my computer and also slows it to a crawl I do not need that.?Why did they have to make it different like that Also the Opinion survey which did not send me their twenty dollar amazon gift cared they said they would. It never came to my address and they had the correct address.

I have read other complaints about mysurvey. The do not seem to reward loyalty. When they do not need you anymore, so long..

Wow Inbox Dollars is doing that to you??? I am shocked and a little scared now. I have not received anything from them but that sounds terrible. One site that I am having lots of problems with is RedGage. I am only a few dollars away from the cashout of $25 there and I have nothing but problems. Emails go unanswered and I am not the only one with the same problem. I have also noticed that MyPoints sends fewer emails that contain points for reading them. You are very right..... earninh is much harder!

InBox Dollars requires that members take an offer every few weeks, months or years. It is in the terms of service. I do not know how often we are required ti sign up for something. It can be a free offer or survey. If you do not, you will not receive paid emails and your account is considered inactive. There are many complaints about Inbox Dollars because of this requirement. I did not realize that we are required to do this. I usually do not qualify for the surveys and there are not many free offers that appeal to me or I have already signed up for the ones that do. I use RedGage just as a social bookmarking site to post links to my writing sites. Most of my sites are becoming problematic, not all, but most. They are making it harder to cash out.

For me, Inbox Dollars never worked. It tated at the beginning that it was an international site. I joined spending my time writing down all the fields you have to fill for registering. Later on, whenever I checked to see if there was something I could do it said there was nothing for the region where I lived. So I decided the site wanted to dsay it had many members, but actually it was a small site with not much movement.

I might be wrong but I think that it is a very big site in the United States. There is also a sister site, SendEarnings. I was under the impression that these sites had very good reputations but I have done more searches since my bad experience and found a lot of others who have also had bad experiences with these sites.

Like you, I belong to both sites, too -but have never had an "offer" from one site transfer to the other. I am at nearly 27 dollars on Inbox - last year I cashed out 31.00 and the year before, I made it to 44.00. That year they didn't deduct their "3.00" fee! I am going for 40 this year in order not to pay the fee. I agree - there aren't enough offers worth my time. One thing I do every year, though - is buy flowers through their link for mother's day/birthday. It usually gives me enough to put me over the cash out threshold - and perhaps it's enough that I haven't gotten that same email. Send earnings has been sloooooow going. I'm around 19.00 on there - ever since I joined over a year ago. They don't have the videos or good offers that their sister site has. I just cashed out 30.40 from PureProfile - their minimum is 25.00. It's nothing but surveys - and if you don't qualify you still get 10 - 20 cents! I was sent samples of some face lotion to try and when I did the follow up survey, was paid 7.00 which put me past the cash out amount. Same day I did another survey for 2 bucks. So I cashed out. They do paypal, by the way.

I don't know what is going on. I have been taking a few free offers on Inbox Dollars but SendEarnings is getting credited. I chatted with support and it was referred on to a higher power. I got an email explaining why this is happening. I was told that I must be viewing the offer on Send Earnings before I signed up for the offer on Inbox and something about it defaulting and crediting my Send earnings account. It was suggested that i clear cookies among other things. I am not a shopper and have no need or reason to buy anything on Inbox or Send Earnings. I never qualify for an Inbox survey because I work in market research. The fact that you purchase something from their site once a year is enough to keep you active. It looks like my Inbox account will become inactive and I am out $24. I have $10 in SendEarnings because I continue to get the emails and when I take offers, I get credited on send earnings. So since the beginning of the year, I have been screwed out of money on Helium, MySurvey and now Inbox Dollars. I have been allowed to redeem my MySurvey points for $15 to payPal. Let's see if I get it. They are not sending me any invites. I think that I am probably finished with them. I will keep PureProfile in mind. I have a p.t. job and we are real busy right now so I am not seeking new sites. Because I work in market research, some survey sites will not even allow me to sign. MySurvey was one of the few that did. I am a senior and also get social security. The sites that I have been having problems with were a little extra spending money.

In the few months of working online, I learned that money doesn't come easy. You really have to work hard and invest a lot of time in order to get that minimum cashout. That's why I still prefer doing freelance jobs and myLot. For me, it's easier to earn compared to the other sites, although I am a member of few writing sites. But by doing freelance jobs, money is easier and more financially rewarding :)

You do have to invest a lot of time but some of the sites are more fun to be on and make it easier to earn than other sites. I do some freelance writing for online sites with very limited success. What kind of freelance jobs do you do to earn?

I do writing and transcription jobs for several employers. So far, the pay is doing good and me and my employers have a good working relationship :) You can try looking at Odesk since there are lots of jobs available there :)
