Stinky Workplace

I have to work to keep the apartment. I've been jumping from one company to another because most of them are promising *great* working environment, then what you get is garbage, figuratively speaking. I guess most companies lie just to get employees to work for them to lessen the work load. Of course, they pay you right. It's just that I don't think I'll ever be comfortable working in a garbage, figuratively speaking.

I understand you because my husband is like you, I work from home so I donĀ“t know what is working at a company, but I hear to my husband say the same as you. I wish you both lots of blessings and luck...dainy

I just hope they tell the truth since we, their applicants also tell the truth. They'd require someone to tell the truth and yet they're the ones telling lies, that's not fair. It should be give and take. Now they're appearing as though they're just too hungry for employees. It won't do any good to their reputation.

Some companies are only after the money. I have heard of fly by night call centers in the past and some of them really do have crappy working environments. Crappy job, crappy environment. Nobody wants to stay longer in that kind of setting.

You said it. If there's such a person who would stay in such a company, he would be crazy.

According to a Herzberg's 2-factor theory, employees are motivated to do their best if they are given respect and empwerment at the workplace. Money is important, but it is not important enough for employees to sacrifice their dignity. Is that what you mean by "garbage"? That you're not getting respect or satisfaction at the workplace?
