What kind of movies mostly people like?

I like all kinds. I've always enjoyed movies. I even collect them. I currently have over 970 on DVD and Blu-Ray. I like horror but I don't watch it as much as I did when I was younger. When I was younger I really enjoyed the Friday the 13th, and A Nightmare on Elm Street type movies. Now I am a bit more selective when it comes to horror. Perhaps the scariest I've ever seen are the Paranormal Activity movies. The video camera format really makes them more realistic. Like I said, I like all kinds. Science fiction is an old favorite. I grew up with Star Wars. But I think sci-fi movies are a little bit of a dying breed. They don't seem to come out as much as they used to. And when they do they tend to be low budget, low quality with subpar actors and weak story lines. Actually, that seems to be the direction that horror movies are going in as well. I think in a way, horror movies are being replaced, at least in popularity, with suspense thrillers of which many could also be classified as horror. The same could be said of sci-fi, I think. But I also like comedy. Although, I have to be in the mood for it. When I was younger I watched movies mainly for the reason of what kind they were. Like sci-fi, or horror. Now I watch them more for what actors are in them and who directed them or because of what they are about. For that reason my movie tastes span all genres.

I love the movies! I love romance comedies, action adventure nad war movies. Howeve, I love a good western more then anything. I will sit and watch the old westerns for hours. Especially anything with Clint Eastwood or John Wayne. I'm not to fond of thrillers or horror stories. When watching thoses types of movies I'm up and down and or covering my eyes. I can't deal with it. I also love a good based on true story type movies. I love a good movie that moves me to tears or hysterical laughter.

I used to watch horror movies a lot alone in the apartment. I like to watch horror movies, but to watch a horrow movie alone makes me feel all the more scared. When the scarest part comes, I close my eyes. Although I like it, I try not to watch it as often as possible. Instead I have developed my interest in watching movies related to palace history.
