My sister is residing in Khamgaon near Shegaon, Maharashtra. She was telling me now water problem is started in her area and the tap came only once in 15 days and all family members are busy to fill the water in big tank, bucket, small pots all because they saved 15 days water in one day. Not only drinking water but bathing water also. She use this water till 15 days. Some time few members hire the water tank and pay money for it because no tap is came even after 15 days.
Every year she face this problem and her daughters has problem of stomach due to this water. Very hard to use the same water till 15 days. Ohhh God really some places gives lots of water and they wasted it and some places people cried for water they take from long way. Do you face this problem?

Hello, problem is very serious. Rajasthan is a state where water is more valuable that butter oil (desi Ghee). Here in Rajasthan people also face water problem in summer. Govt. make arrangement for it. But it is not so serious like your sister residence Khamgaon. My residence have not problem of water. Thanks to maharaja Gangan Singh who brings water of Himalyas to this land. We have enough water for our daily use.

Right now we are not on any water restrictions but many parts of the country have had drought for two or three years. We should all make an effort not to waste water and other resources. The water your sister and family drinks may need to be boiled so it will not make them sick.

Using the same water for 15 days?
I mean- they stock water to last for 15 days?
We're also having water shortage here in our place sis, but not longer for a day or two.
Right now we're not having any water shortage and hope there'll be no problem with our water supply, coz this summer is soo hot and we can't bear not taking a bath 2-3 times a day.

Surekha:
In Chennai also we face water problem. It has not become big. All our water tanks are getting dried and this summer we may face problem. We get water in tap for two/three hours and balance we manage with borewell water.
In 1980 we faced acute water shortage and water was brought in tanker and served to people of different localities. I wish the problem now should not become severe as it was earlier.

Here in my area, there are many factories, also with them there is a big environment problem.
Soil has problems, water has problems, even rain water is not clean enough, also air is polluted. We now have to face the problem that the polluted environment will have a bad effect on our body, which may lead to cancer and other illness.
I think it may be good to develop some separation materials to deal with the problem.

I too live in Maharashtra but luckily I do not face this water problem in my building. I get water just once a day but the force is enough to fill up my water tank that can last me for three days if I do not get water. I try to use water as sparingly as possible because our State is facing acute water shortage.

We have our own well and pumps connected to tanks. We fill the tanks on a daily basis. We have a garden to maintain but this water is sufficient for all our needs.

I'm sorry for your people's situation.
We're supposed to be the driest state in the driest continent in the world down here, but we do now have a lot of supporting infrastructure & a desalination plant that won't last long. Our water is pretty polluted here, but most of us have quite good filtering systems installed in our houses. Water is getting very expensive very quickly here too. There is so much inequality everywhere in the world. I hope your people can resolve these issues soon.

at the moment yes a lot. My waterpump drowned so I had to buy a new one and changed the way it's kept. Don't know how it will be in the future. No possibility to get with my car at my house anymore so we walk, slib and sliding the last 1 km or more. It's still winter over here, they say more rain and snow. By now I am just lucky there is no water inside the house.

Hi,
We don't have water problem. We have 24 hours water. But in many areas have the problem of water. It is very difficult for your sister to use 15 days water carefully. They should use bodied water for drinking. In our country many areas have scarcity of water. In some areas there is plenty of water. But we should not waste water because some people don't get water for drinking also. They have to bring water from far of places.

i hate this issue of not having running water, its s hard to wash dishes and flushing toilets.there was a time when we didnt get rains for a while so there was water rationing and it would be closed for about two days and after two days they close it.we eventually bought a big water tank and piped it into the house such that we had a continous water supply, this water issues bring lots of problems like water borne illness, stored water can accumulate germs easily .

Yes very hard to wash the dishes or clean the toilets even they fill the water for bathing also. But other people should learn the lesson from this no waste the unnecessary water because I observe where no water problem people leave the tap open and water is wasting. She bought the big water tank but her house is small only two rooms so problem. Really I salute my sister and her daughter how hard work for everything.
