I came across an article in a magaZine called NURSE.com the article is entitled NAVIGATING THE BREAST CANCER JOURNEY. There is so much information in this article that is worth sharing with fellow mylotters.
According to this article " many women with breast cancer have no known risk factors other than being female and aging however certain factors seem to increase the likelihood of having this disease. Risk factors associated with breast cancer include:
1. age
2. family history of breast or ovarian cancer
3. race and ethnicity
4. personal history of breast or ovarian cancer
5. dense breast tissue
6. proliferative breast tissues
7. hormonal factors
8. obesity
9. alcohol consumption
10. lack of physical activity
11. environmental and occupational factors
12.history of previous chest radiation
What is your reaction to the risk factors included in this list?
