Are the extreme right domestic terrorist more dangerous than foreign terrorist?

This may seam like partisan politics, but there are actual facts based around this, and they are from an interesting source. Many of us remember a report released by the Department of Homeland Security in 2009 saying that returning vets could be prime targets for extreme militant groups. The right wingers in this country attacked that report as liberal BS, and ignored the findings. However, the Combating Terrorism Center has released a study on the explosion (no pun intended) of violence from extreme right wing groups. This is an extensive study of domestic terrorism that uses facts from the last 11 years that should surprise everyone. One of the interesting facts is: "20% of the right-wing extremists indicted since 9/11 had spent time in the military." Isn't that what the report warned of? It also states that since 9/11 29 Americans have been killed by right wing extremist, while 17 have been killed by jihadist extremists, the majority of whom died in one incident: the 2009 massacre at Fort Hood, Texas. If you look at the stats from last year you will see that 15 right wing extremist were indicted in comparison to 6 Jihadist. What is most concerning is that while the foreign terrorist indictments are going down, the domestic indictments are going up. Not only are they going up, but the domestic plots that have been foiled have been operational plots (working explosives that have been placed, or found in houses before they could be placed), where as most of the Jihadist plots have been developmental, and had no actual working explosives. Our intelligence networks have no problem dealing with foreign communications in eliminating these plots, but because of privacy laws it is more difficult to deal with domestic communications. Many on the right were upset that drones could be used here in the US, but isn't it the job of the government to keep it's citizens safe? According to this report the current treat is greater at home than abroad. While many of us are concerned with privacy laws, and rights as Americans, we have also given up some rights in order to stop foreign terrorist. Are we now willing to continue to give up rights to keep our country safe from domestic terrorism? http://www.ctc.usma.edu/posts/challengers-from-the-sidelines-understanding-americas-violent-far-right

This might be a little off subject because it is not even about the actual terrorist plots of Americans killing other Americans. I am more looking at the policies the right has been setting from voting, to Michigan taking over whole cities, and just taking away people's rights in general. Just passing policies that are actually costing people jobs or only allowing people to be paid the bare minimum which no one can afford to live off of in the first place. I think the show "The Newsroom" hit it on the head by calling them the "American Taliban." At the time I thought they were over exaggerating but looking back on things these people have done. They are just out to do is one thing, and that is destroy peoples lives because these people do not align with their way of beliefs.
