this song is the most melodious Indonesian Songs and the most complicated because traditional, Keroncong Songs originated started in Java in 16th century when Portuguese start coming to Southeast Asia. An early form of Keroncong called Moresco (a dance from spain)accompanied a stringed Instrument, Keroncong is the name of a musical instrument similar UKULELE and also as the name of music, i'll explained a lot of about Keroncong on this discussions

Hello basirhinds! I am glad to coment your discussion. Well, i knew about keroncong because i am indonesian and i knew that Gesang is the father of keroncong. When i read your explaination, i knew if there was a mistake from your writing. I read in historical book, that keroncong didn't introduce by portugese at the first time on java in 16th century, but keroncong introduced by portugese in Malaka in same century, because portugese came into southeast asia for first time from Malaka harbour where in aceh now

thanks to your explain in details the histories of Keroncong is like yours, here, the keroncong music i will discusse started when in java, surely the history is came from Malaka it's about 1512 when Alfonso de Albuquerque the leader of expedision from portugese (source: Wiki)
Gesang is my neighbor at Solo Central Java, he is my teacher of Keroncong music

oh hi, what song's tittle?? is that "Berdiri bulu Romaku" LOL!! thats song remind me about 80's style, yes she started with pop song in 80's, thanks for sharing
