Loss of hair, medically known as alopecia, takes various forms. Male-pattern baldness, in which hair begins to thin at the crown and the hairline recedes, is the most common; it is primarily genetic in origin and primed by the presence of androgens ( male hormones ). The exact sequence of the hair-loss process is not yet fully understood, but it is clear that everyone loses scalp hair as he or she gets older; it is equally clear that some people's tendency to lose hair at an accelerated rate, and to start at a relatively early age, is inherited. In general there is nothing we can do ourselves to stop or delay this natural process. Yes, one of the best solution is hair transplant. Indeed, hair implantation, in which synthetic fib res are sewn directly into the scalp, but have produced so many dangerous complications, that it has been banned in the United States. Hair transplants are not a successful for everyone. If you are considering transplants, you should discuss the matter first with a dermatologist to decide whether you are a good candidate for hair transplants.

You may try ' Minoxidil ' was originally developed for the treatment of hypertension. However, some patients who used it began to detect the growth of new hair, not only on the head, but on the body and face as well. Clinical trials involving a lotion made from minoxidil in such reduced strengths that blood pressure in not affected have be conducted. Some people participating in the studies did, in fact, grow new hair. The results seemed more promising when the hair was only thinning, rather than in advanced baldness. No one really knows how minoxidil works. One theory is that it slows the ageing of hair-growing cells.

Try applying Virgin coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil. These are very effective to avoid losing hair. My husband has been using these for a month now and we notice that his hair thickens. Just massage the oil in your hair or sleep with it overnight. You can do this one to two times a week.
