It's not healthy but I am hungry..

I know what I am eating right now it's not healthy but it's 2:37 am here in my place and I am hungry. I am eating Doritos, lays and drinking soft drinks these are the only food I have here in right now, maybe tomorrow i should go the supermarket to buy some fruits and healthy drinks. Have a good morning!

I also eat unhealthy food sometimes, its because they taste like heaven unlike healthy foods. But I need to control myself and stop this all unhealthy stuffs to have a better and longer life.

My first thought is how are your teeth? Your weight? I get where you're coming from because although I don't consume soft drinks, I have done this myself. A word of warning is that when you are alone for example, during ours of less activity such as walking and talking, the saliva in your mouth isn't moving as much and is when bacteria can and does build up causing plaque. Consuming soft drinks during times of less activity, especially late at night before you are to sleep is the worse time to consume such drinks because it can have a devastating effect on your teeth. Which by the way costs a small fortune to have a dentist repair such damage. Brushing your teeth afterwards and before going to sleep will help. As a rule I generally make a point to not consume anything after 7 p.m. that contains sugar especially. What I do instead is drink either herbal tea or water. Water helps resolve hunger pains. Plus your teeth will approve and stomach will approve. Brushing my teeth before I go to sleep is a given.

Hey bhebelen, I know what you mean. I too do it sometimes andi think i'm worse than you. Because my form of enjoyment entails laying on bed eating chip which is super unhealthy. The thing is i feel like eating even when i'm not hungry which is really bad and i can feel myself being fatter already. ANd i have already gained 5kg since I started my study abroad program in London. this is real bad. Yes, you definitley should go to the supermarket to get some healthier snacks :)

Just take something if you are really hungry.I know sometime it is hard to digest well but making the stomach hungry is worse than that so i prefer to give myself a good treat and do something.lol,hope you enjoy your meal as well and have a great day too.

look, your other options are to go out and buy food at 2:37 am, order delivery from a 24-hour place, cook something, even an egg, open a canned product, or go to sleep hungry. well, when i'm hungry, i eat what's available. if i'm being choosy, then i'm not really hungry, right? eating that stuff every day, once for morning snack then again for afternoon snack, is what's unhealthy. what you did is not a serious crime or a mortal sin. it's called being real, being human. you and your husband were both busy so of course things get neglected, like cleaning the house, laundry, even paying bills.

the food you mentioned aren't healthy, having said that if you dont have any other food in your house then its alright to eat these food once in a while. but make sure that you always have fruits in your house so that you can eat them whenever you are hungry. as fresh fruits spoil quickly you can have dry fruits in your house, they are health and remain good for a long time

If you eat healthy most of the time then I wouldn't worry about having an occasional junk food snack. Of course, Doritos and chips wouldn't even fill me up. I need to eat more healthy food and I think about it quite often sometimes but when you work long hours like I do you don't have time to prepare much in the way of good healthy food. I think I'm going to start cooking almost exclusively with slow cookers. It's more convenient and I'm often not in the mood or don't have the energy to spend a lot of time preparing a meal. And fortunately you can cook just about anything in a slow cooker.

I must confess that when I stay up late with the computer, at some time around 2 or 3 AM I feel a hole un my tummy and I must go to the kitchen to see what can I find. I don`t think that having fruit around would help me: I crave only unhealthy food

Well, they are junk foods actually. But you have to feed yourself since you are hungry and they would serve the purpose. Just purge on fruits when you are able to buy them.

It's really hard to stay away from junk foods. Just last night, I have no plans of eating any junk food but my aunt brought some clover chips to my grandma. Me and grandma enjoyed eating it while watching tv. I guess it's not bad to eat some once in a while but it's definitely better to not eat these kind of foods. I think the best way to combat these junk foods is to have healthy alternatives stock at home like fruits, vegetables that you can eat as salad, or even biscuits that are plain and not loaded with preservatives.

LOL, sometimes feeding the hunger overcomes the healthy issues. I am sure you will not breaking too many rules by having this sort of snack when you are hungry...Hope you enjoyed it,,,LOL

Hi! I had this concern a while ago because I was hungry late at night and I was eating snacks. Then I started gaining some weight and now I am trying really hard to lose it. Think about the hard work that you will have to do in order to burn all those calories from the junk food! Maybe you can eat a low fat yogurt with fruits like banana or apple slices if you are hungry. I know that you are probably craving another bag of tasty Doritos chips but the healthy option will also full your stomach and take your hunger away in a much healthier way!

Wow, that's so late! And yes, those are not healthy at all. You should have at least drank water instead but then what do I know, it's not as if it will make it any healthier. But I was the same, still is actually when it comes to some snacking. Although we have some other healthier food here, whenever there are chips I would gravitate toward it.

Those aren't very healthy. Sometimes we just want something to satisfy our taste though so I don't blame you for eating chips late at night. I have done so before many times! Those would be the first to go in my house, all of the junk foods. The fruits would go unoticed until the junk foods were all depleted. I hope you can get some good healthy treats for you to eat though.
