stir the pot

Do you think some mylotters post disscussions or comments just to stir the pot? Some of what I've read feels like they say things that may not really be their real views or opinions. Is this right? I guess so long as it is something that needs to be discussed then it is okay. But if it is just for more responses I don't like it.

I think that everyone, even the people that do not want to be personally involved in an online site, somehow show their true colours when they write. Now if we feel a post is phony in some way, we just don`t answer it.

It happens everywhere and all we can do is to try to avoid those kind of people. But, have you noticed that this is a common trait of most of the politicians in the world? So it seems that many people prefer a mask to hide their true colours. Still, there are the nice people that you can trust.

The other day I read one and I felt so bad for this person. I started responding and kept checking in with the disscussion. After a while I started to realize that every single response was similar and that other mylotters felt the same as me about this disscussion. Then I thought about how the story seemed meant to get responses. The original post was more of a question that had an obvious answer. I eould just rather not waste my time and emotions on someone who just wants a top dissicusdion. I would prefer to offer my feelings and opinions to people who actually want to share their real stories.

i like eye catching discussion like that. it can get kinda boring with everyone being so nice and wanna be perfect all time. it's good to have a really good spicy discussion. pretty soon, we will probably be totally censored on here by way of a block button. i hate that fact, because if you don't like the topic, don't read or respond to it. it's that simple.

So do uou think it is okay to just make up a story and act like it is real? I'm not really sure how I feel about that. So fsr from what I have seen on mylot everybody tries to help eachother, like a family. If I came to trust a mylotter and then found out it was all fake I might feel like the friendship we had forgedvwas fake. I do agree with you that some mylotters are way too sweet and kind of prissy. I know that not everybodyis that politically correct in real life.

okay! now, that's a different story. if someone is just making something up, then what's the point. it's not a good discussion because it's not real. i can get with you on that.

You may never know, really....But whatever the reason a member posts such discussions,I am sure that some member might have been in the same situation and may have read good opinions and advice on it.
