What are user ratings? How can you see your user ratings?

That number next to your name isn't a rating. It's like a counter that shows how many discussions you started or saved. Still, you can rate other peoples' discussions positive or negative.

Please read here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx The number beside your name is indeed your user activity rating and shows approximately how many discussions you have participated in but it is not a 'post count'.

I think its a measure on how good your comments and discussions are whether they make sense or people can relate to it. I also think that when users "+" your post, it will somehow add extra earnings.

Your user rating is explained here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx It has nothing to do with how good your posts are or how people rate your posts. That is your user reputation, also explained in that link.

You User Rating is the number in brackets next to your name. It is, roughly, a count of the number of DISCUSSIONS you have participated in, NOT a 'post count'. You can read about what your User Rating is and means here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx User Rating is NOT the same as your MyLot Reputation ('star') which you will see once you have a User Rating of 100. Your User Rating controls a number of 'privileges' in MyLot. Once you reach 100, you will see your 'star' (MyLot Reputation) and you will be able to rate other people's posts. When you reach 200, you will be able to use emoticons from the MyLot code on the left ... like this: When you read a User Rating of 500, you will be able to add images to responses and comments and you will be able to copy and paste more than just a URL or a few words.
