… I wish I have a pool or a bathtub.

The weather is somewhat getting to me. Days were kinda scorching but I am grateful for any breeze that come my way. Nights can be a little tolerable since the temp goes a little down compared to the day (and without the harsh sunshine).
The weather propels me back to my plans of having a bathtub in the house. It would be a good use during the summer and weekends when I feel just soaking up in water without experiencing the crush of people in a resort (not to mention the planning and costs). It will definitely make me bring to life when I awaken during the summer. Of course, it also adds to the purpose of conserving water in this condition.
For those who have a pool or a bathtub in your house, I am quite jealous of you right now.

I dont have a pool or a bath tub in a condo unit, I only have a shower, On the bright-side, I will have a vacation in Sweden in this May, I starved my self for a year and a half just to afford this vacation. *tears of joy*
Its actually warm in Sweden around Late May, so I know I wont see snow.

back to the topic. I remember as a kid, due tot he frustration of not having a bath tub,I drench my self n a drum. I am so skinny I fit inside.

Ah,At least you can go to Europe to cool off. Beware of the weather condition, temperature there seems to be on below ten degrees but check again since I am talking about the whole continent. . Pick warm clothes! Anything planned to see in Sweden?
I think I also went in one of the water drams - the ones with made with metal and you could clearly see the iron all throughout. I was only permitted to do that a few times since i was a girl and it was unbecoming back then to be hanging too much with the boys my cousins and siblings). Of course, everything is perfect with a dipper or tabo or a garden hose.

I am going to support 4 countries at the Eurovision song competition. Eurovision is a huge deal In Europe, arists like ABBA,Celine Dion(she is Canadian but she represented Switzerland), Julio Iglesias and many more European music legends owe their career in Eurovision. I found it more fun to watch than American Idol.
Eurovision can be one of the oldest song writing contest as its been around since 1955. Its a contest were each European country + Israel, sends a song..
These are the songs I am supporting to win.

Hello there!
Well it really is scorching hot. I can't help but turn on the aircon though I feel guilty too because of the electricity costs. Even the water coming out of the shower is too warm these days! And yes, having a pool has advantages but honestly, it's really hard to maintain.

It's hard to maintain that's why I prefer resorts when I'm itching for a pool. But if i could have a bathtub in the house, I'm not complaining or I might even not consider going to the pool.

I live in England and it has a temperate climate. It is spring at the moment although it still feels cold like winter to me. There is limited warm sunshine and lots of cold wind. From 1991 until 2005 I lived in a cottage with a small bath. Then from 2005 until 2010 I lived in house with a large bath and a separate shower. I moved to where I live in 2010 to get a downstairs bedroom and wet room for my disabled son. I got a wheelchair access ramp and an access door fitted in my son's bedroom. The wet room has a disabled access shower, a toilet and a basin. I really miss having a bath rub and I dream of getting one. If I had enough money I would buy a jacuzzi for my garden. It would be way too expensive.

I would certainly love a jacuzzi if I could afford it . Anyway, I guess Europe has its fair share of extreme climate and I hope that the condition there improves. I keep hearing the temperature and I took note of the stark difference compared to my location.

Hi jeanneyvinne,
Yes, the weather is getting warmer by the year. This is what scientists have been telling and warning the citizens of the world of the effects of global warming and climate change due to men's (and women's) indifference and insistence on not caring enough for the environment. If this continues there will be nobody left on this planet of ours!
I guess you can keep your cool in a bathtub but how long can one stay in a bathtub? Surely you need to do other things besides soaking in a bathtub!
Have a cool day.

well, i guess I could stay as long as I can tolerate it. against the heat, an hour or tow would be a really nice break. I d have other things to do but I guess if I couldn't concentrate enough, it might be impossible to do the work that's needed.

I sympathise with you people in the hot countries who don't have the things that we in Europe and America take for granted.
We often think of how nice it would be to have the constant good weather, but never realise the hardships that often accompany these conditions.
If there was a way to get some of our water to you, most people here would gladly send you some when we are awash with the floods or snow.
I hope you find a way of coping, as I'm sure you will.

gljcleeve. i accept the offer of any quantity of melted snow. Seriously, I could soak in anything cool for two hours and will not complain. I am starting to feel incredibly jealous of people going to pools and beaches they have a break and they have to experience water gliding through them. Coping is is in the method of two bath per day but soaking in a tub can be an equivalent.
@rog I prefer autumn-y ones. I like a breeze or two with still the sun shining on my back. Give me that weather and I'll go out even it costs me. Rainy days tends to give me more sleepy thoughts but it's good when paired with this kind of heat.

You can't be jealous of me because I also don't have any pool or bathtub. Hehehe.. just joking. Yes, nowadays the weather is very hot and humid. Even after shower, I start to sweat already. And my house does not have any air-con. Only fans. So have to bear with the weather. But it's quite good because sweating makes me feel a bit healthier. :)
Do you shower with cold water ? I think that is one of the solutions. Wear more cotton and cool clothes. As for me, I wear veil. Though it is hotter for me, I get used to it already.
I am not sure whether you can get this drink . In Singapore, it is called "Air Badak" in malay. It cools my body down after drinking it . It is temporary though, but at least it works . :)

The heat is really terrible! And having to deal with it everyday without spending more than the usual is just impossible.

Spot on. I think additional months of this will prove to be really unhealthy and really uncomfortable. I don't think I could handle a few more high degrees.

I'm sorry, I would lose my mind without having a bath tub! I love my bath. I wish I had a pool but at least I do have a bath tub. It does help when the weather gets hot, it keeps me refreshed.
I wish you had one too!

I also wish to have a pool or bath tub especially that I can really use that now that is summer. but having that is really expensive , maybe when I grow up, I will make sure that I will have that pool or bath tub.

Well, either one is okay. Its costs and maintenance i an issue at start but it might pay itself in the long run. Just a bathtub might be good enough or me at the moment.

Well, you could always just soak in the water and the scenery. I mean, I'm not exactly a good swimmer myself but I do appreciate the water flowing around the body - even if i have to share the pool with other people. Sometime,s I wish I could so stuff underwater or at least have some ability to stay underwater for a long time. Would love to see what i could discover.

I guess that is what everybody here in our country dreamed of. I usually take a bath 2 to 3 times a day. It's really very hot though I live in the countryside but still it's hot here. I know how people in Manila and other big cities feel right now, these places are hotter than our place.

One of the pleasures of living in the country/suburbs. I do baths but sometimes, I want to be asleep while in the shower. Just to make the experience a little bit longer even though It really should be just a quick one. Anyway, I won't trade with anyone living in the city in this heat.

Hi jeanne!
Yes, it's extremely hot nowadays and staying in water most of the time can be a good way to refresh ourselves.
I do hope that I could also have a pool or bathtub inside my home.

Hi jeanneyvonne! I also wish the same this morning. No matter how I keep myself hydrated until now and use two electrical appliances to keep me cool, it still does not work. I already soaked two towels in a water and did not twist it just to lessen the heat in my house. I also pour water in front and at the back of our house's cemented floor hoping it will lessen the heat. It's at 91 degrees Fahrenheit when I checked. Now I'll be taking another shower before I sleep.
Good thing my nieces and nephew already went back to their house with my sister. They will surely not be able to handle the heat. I plan to purchase an inflatable pool for them for their next visit.
