Welcome to mylot, sky. I'll just call you sky for short if that's ok. I'll try to summarize how to use mylot. It could take awhile to go in detail about it. And there is plenty of info within mylot on how to participate. Basically, you participate by starting and/or responding to discussion topics that other mylotters have posted. You begin, as I'm sure you have already, by creating your mylot profile. If you've ever participated in other social community websites, like Facebook, for example, then you already know what a profile page is all about. The difference with mylot is that you set up your list of interests in the process. These interests are the categories under which you will post discussion topics and find other topics to respond to. For example, let's say you want to post a topic about your favorite author. You would go to the subcategory of books or reading which is located, I think, under the category of Hobbies. And in turn, you earn money for posting and responding to discussion topics. And you can discuss just about anything under the sun that you can think of. I've never collected on the money I've earned and probably never will. I do it purely for the fun of putting my "2 cents worth" in. And, you'll find that in order to earn anything worth collecting you'll have to participate a lot. I've been on here for several years and have responded to/started over 920 discussions and have earned just over $18. Like I said, I participate just for the fun of it. I didn't even know you could earn money for it until after I joined. Hope this has helped you understand mylot a little better. Again, welcome and have fun mylotting.
