Nowadays, Facebook is just flooding with new and new confession Pages about Schools, colleges, Housing colonies and many other things. People confess and write anything they feel, as their identity is not revealed and readers dont come to know who has written it. But i dont call this confessing, because if you have real guts to confess, you have to write your name along with your confession. This is totally like Writing in Public toilets and private places, the name of the person you love, but not your name. This is totally so crazy . Some passed out school children write about their teachers, how they felt for them, may be good or bad... But they dont know that their teachers also are there on facebook, and the post is open for them too.. It hurts them mentally.
I dont know who started this trend of Making confession pages...
Whats your idea of confession pages?

Because of the capability to post stuff on Facebook with anonymity is possible, it serves two purposes: protect the identity of those who confess as some confessions can be quite sensitive and they want to remain private; and untrue and malicious ones can be posted just for fun or trolling. The same reason is the cause why it is now hard to distinguish between a true confession and one that is just meant to mess around.

I can't see how anyone could put much validity in anything said by some one who cannot divulge their ID. I could come more apt to trust something Obama said than trust some undisclosed persons statement. And I know Obama is an untruthful person.

I don't know exactly. facebook always blocks me from doing something, even when I just share something on my wall. Now, I am visiting my facebook accounts once or twice a month, Send some friend request, accept some, share some, tag some, that's all and log out. I am not interested to go to facebook even once a month, after joining mylot.

Haha! Yes ! Facebook would be considered a waste of time with no output of anything.. Spending your time on mylot will atleast help you earn some money. And yes, Even I go on facebook to checl notifications, read memes and to reply to certain messages..In other sense, fb is a waste of time.

Totally in agree with you my friend. These cannot be said as confession. If you felt bad anything about a person it would be better that go and talk to him/her personally rather than blaming the person in front of everyone. One is not ready to display his/her name but he/she enjoys in writing some bad things about a person mentioning their name. I think that's really ridiculous.

"Public toilets..."
Yes, THAT's what facebook reminds me of!
Another topic about rule breakers in facebook. Aren't you supposed to use your real name? Is anyone willing to confess that they have a fake account?
No, we don't expect to find truth and honesty on facebook anymore.

I do not use fake name as I am known all over the net under a couple of nicknames and I continually use the same or my real name. I agree that facebook is becoming a farce in some aspects. Several of my kin use this as means of keeping in touch with other relatives, or letting friends know when the tomatoes are ripe.

Those people who write about the bad things are cowards in my opinion. They don’t really brave to say their confession or complaint to the very person. It’s ridiculous to write the bad things about any person in public like facebook page. It hurts the person who they write bad things to and very cowardly things to do.

They do say confession is good for the heart and soul, but confessing on Facebook? Do people think that by writing their confession that they are forgiven? that they are exonerated and that they feel so good afterwards? Yet another reason why I was glad to delete my Facebook account, I had heard of people venting their dirty laundry on Facebook but confessing? LOL. Whatever next...

It's a sorry state. Confession pages are all that are being talked about. People are going out of their way to express their feelings about a certain person anonymously. I'm come across a lot of vile confessions. That is definitely going to affect the concerned person. This must stop. Someone must put a stop to this.
