There is this College girl who is so in love with a boyfriend she met at the chatroom and the moment, well they were dating online and on the day they meet, to show her love for him, she gave him something any girl or woman will not give to their boyfriend, she tattooed his name to her face.
I have tattoos but you know If you will have tattoos place it in place that you can hide. I don't know why did she decided to do it on her face. we know how sensitive the face is. Anyway they just got engaged and they plant to get married.
What the heck is she thinking?
If they end up breaking up, what will she do with her face now?
if your spouse or fiancee wanted their name to be tattooed in you, what part of your body you are willing to get inked?
What is the most extreme thing you did for love?

I dreamed to have tattoo somewhere in my body when I was a kid because I think having tattoo is cool but I never imagine placing tattoo on my face. I think she is crazy in love with the guy that she have allow him to do that. Someday she will regret it

Imagine the amount of make up she needs to use to cover that tattoo, I did see some people who actually look cool with some face tattoo but their face tattoo is not massive.

I also think that she will regret it. Imagine her being older, in her 60s for example and having this tattoo on her face. I don't want to sound negative, people can do any tattoos they want! But I feel like when we are younger we take permanent decisions without thinking that they will follow us for the rest of our lives.

Well loving anyone is fine but this i find weird to be honest. Why someone has to do something silly acts like this to prove how much they love their partners. There are people who try to write letters with blood and in that attempt they cut their hands.I dont think love demands stupidity. There are lot more ways to express love.

I wonder if she does not manage to marry this guy then how will she justify this to her next boyfriend/husband and children.

According to the tatoo laws in my country tatoos on the face are illegal and they are illegal because it would be hard to hide a tatoo on your face if you regret your decision. I like that law, because I know that many people regret their tattoos after some time and it is much easier to hide a tatoo on the arm or a similar place than a tattoo on the face.
I don't understand the girl who decided to get a tatto with her boyfriend's name on her face. Right now she feels that it was the right decision and she thinks that the relationship is going to last forever, but sometimes things don't turn out the way that we hope. What is she going to do if the relationship ends and she finds a different boyfriend, he probably wouldn't be happy to see the name of her ex-boyfriend each time he looks at her!
I am haven't done anything that extreme for love. I once left my home, my parents and my friends and moved to a different part the country where my ex-boyfriend lived, but that is probably the most extreme thing I have done

this really makes me question if she is really sure that she wants to do this, specially that she is young. hey relationship with her boyfriend is not something I will call a deep relationship as they were only dating online. she did that after they met in person for the first time. He is a tattoo artist and he did that to her.

Hey captalbertwhisker,
OMG, this is really foolish of her. I have totally on idea why did she tattoo his name on her face.
Personally, i do not have any tattoo but i would really want to have one. However, due to my parents objection and because i'm afraid of the pain, i still have not get one yet. but if I were to get one, i'll definitely put it somewhere on my body. Never on my face.
Inking your bf name on your body is already bad enough. Imagine putting it on your face.
As for the most extreme thing i did for love, I don't think i ever did anythign extreme in comparision to inking a name on a face.

exactly. At least on her back would be better. I don't even want to think how she will regret it if the two of them ever breaks up

she could have got the tattoo on her back, at least that part can be covered. How will she be able to find a job with that facial tattoo. The only job I can think for her is maybe if she will become a tattoo artist her self.

Well, i would never tatoo a girl's name on my face. No way.
Having said that. If a girl tatooes my name on her face, and she is not mentally unstable in the sense of slash my throat as i sleep. Is sexually hungry and not very outgoing as in lets go out every night and spend spend spend.
I would consider it that the highest proof of loyalty. I mean all the jealousy paranoia type of problems would disappear. I would feel comfortable putting a ring on that finger because i would know that that finger belongs to me without a doubt. :)

Obama threatens his daughters that if they will have tattoos, he will also have the same tattoos on the same area and boast it in youtube. With that his daughters are disgusted to tattoos.

Yeah i can only imagine.
But even though i try to have a don't care about public opinion i do have some difficulties in letting that go. So i cant speak for myself.
But the optimal thing to do is not give a Sh.. about what other people think. Just as the other people dont give a Sh.. about her. It's just talk, just blah blah, that's what people do mostly. No meaningful conversations going on. It's mostly just blah blah blah :D :P Most of them anyway...haha

Romantic?? I find it just plain stupid. Not only is he way older and they met in a chat room and he has left another woman that's face he tattooed....this was done after just one date. I wonder what type of career she is planning on persuing with her expensive education. So many places would turn away a look like that...maybe not fair and especially if she is qualified...but true.

I found out that her boyfriend is way older than her, she eloped with him and escaped her parents.

Personally, I think it is just plain stupid. Sometimes these college people are the dumbest I've met, I swear to it. Not only is she tattooing a boyfriend's name on her body but on her face of all places. Don't tattoo a boyfriend or even a husbands' name on your body is a warning I heard repeated strongly 40 years ago. Not only that but this is a boyfriend that she met in a chat room. I wonder how long that they have been seeing each other. Sounds dumber than dumb to me. And lets not forget that we don't stay young forever. Wonder what that artwork will look like when she is older and wrinkled. Hope it works out for her but I don't feel sorry for her if it doesn't.

Most likely her tattoo will look weird ones she is wrinkly, its kinda ironic though that its weird looking already and she haven't aged yet. its like a lapse of judgement on her part. she is in a hurry of something she is not sure off.

I've got quite a bit of tattoos and I have a lot of of visible ones that are kind of hard to hide. I have my throat and the front of my neck completely covered with this tattoo I designed. My girlfriend wants me to get her name tattooed on my neck as well and once we get married I am definitely going to get that done. I think that getting someone's name permanently inked on your body is an extreme display of love for someone and commitment.
I think that getting anyone's name tattooed on your body definitely requires you to know that you are in love with them. If the person who's name breaks up with you or ends up not being the one then you have to live with their name on you for the rest of your life and from then on every time someone asks you who that is you have to explain to them. This could become pretty bad for future girlfriends or boyfriends that the person may have.

I remember a documentary about people who regret their tattoos, but their tattoos are unremovable so their only choice is to have it covered by a bigger tattoo.I dont think it will work in her case though, her facial tattoo is just damn ginormous to be covered up. I guess thick make up is her only way to cover it up.

I think its love and naivete that makes her do that, she is pretty much young and doesnt seemed mature. she will regret it for sure.

No, I would never do that. I saw the pics on your link and my first thought is that I don't like this tattoo aisthetically, even if it was saying her own name or something else other than her boyfriend's name! They might thought that it would be fun at the moment but this was her decision and it is permanent so it is respected, I just hope she doesn't regret it in the future!
I wouldn't tattoo my body with any initials, except maybe from my children's names when I have a family of my own. But I think that tattoos are private isuues and they can be used as art so I don't like the obvious things. So maybe I would write the initials blended in a way that only I could understand and the people that I wanted them to know.

I live in a predominantly Christian country, I remember some people thought I was worshiping satan just for having tattoos.

Yes, me too! Hmm, some people do have this opinion about tattoos, like you said. But this fact wouldn't be an obstacle in finding a job. It sounds like a light form of discrimination. I hope you will not face problems like this one in the future! Have a nice day :)

Yeah I guess that was too extreme. I am not a tattoo lover and if she would have done that I will be a bit turned off but I guess the girl knows what the man likes that is why she did it. Oh well different people have different way of expressing their feelings so let her be and I hope the man is happy enough and would stay with her longer.

The guy is a tattoo artist and he is the one who did it to her, he didnt wished for it, she pressured him to do it.
