How do you keep your house smelling fresh every day?

I like living in a clean and fresh smelling environment and I am always looking for new ways to keep the house smelling good all the time! I think that opening the windows and allowing the fresh air to come inside is very important. However it gives me some extra work because then I have to make sure that I will wipe the dust that comes in from the outside!
About the smells, I like scented candles very much I think that that fill the atmoshphere with refreshing aromas! During the winter I use sandalwood and vanilla scents and I keep the flowery candles for this time of the year. I have also found in the super market some aroma bags for the closets in order to keep away the odours from the clothes but I think that the "chemical" smells are too strong for me so I prefer using natural scents like levander.
What is your way of maintaining a nice, fresh scent in your house or in your room?

I have an oil warmer, I have the vanilla scent right now and oh my it is the greatest thing ever! I just pour the oil in every morning and I smell vanilla all day! It is so good. :)
So far, it is the best air freshener I have found. And it wasn't expensive either which I am grateful for. My husband got it for me at a thrift store for $3 and then the bottle of vanilla cost me $3 for a huge bottle of it! Can't beat it!

Living in Puerto Rico my windows are open 24/7 all year round. So I'm constantly cleaning the dust at least 3 to 4 times a week. As for keeping the house smelling good I use lemon scented lysol on the floor. Then at times I will light incense or candles. I also have glad sprays with wonderful smells to freshen the house after a good cleaning. I love when a home smells good as you walk in.

Hi besweet,
I like to live in a clean and tidy environment and would love to have aromatic scent around the house but I'm kind of apprehensive as to buying and using commercially produced scents even though they claimed that their products are 'organic and natural'. No, I would rather stay in a place where the air quality is clean enough and open my windows for the fresh air.
Have a freshened day.

I think you can try scented candles and room freshner. I think room freshner are cheap now a days and contains lots of flavors. I think it is good to have good nice and fresh scent in the house or room. I am also planning to buy a room freshener soon.

You don't really like chemical smells so this tip might not work for you, but I use dryer sheets. I buy a bunch when they are on sale and use them not only for my laundry but under the mattress (keeps bugs away) and over the vents. It's a very strong smell so you'll want to keep the doors of each room open, but it makes the house smell very good.

Hello Besweet I´m glad to read you soon.
I love to use candles, specially "partylite" candles, I love them. I´ve used them in the last 4 years, they are gorgeous. They have lovely scents (strawberry, cake, vanilla, coco, orange, mango, tangerine, melon, wood, raspberry, pine, watermelon, sandal, apple, tea, lavande, chocolate, mint, yougurt, moka, pumpkin, rose, jazmin) and they are safe tested.
Blessings Besweet... dainy
