I just watched Shrek 2 and i remembered how nice it was..the story and the moral lessons... This was a really unique love story, kind of like Beauty and the Beast... who would've thought an ogre and a beautiful princess would live happily ever after. What they have is really true love, and what they have with Donkey and Puss and the others is definitely real friendship.

It is a cute movie. I have seen parts of all three of them a few times. In fact a week or so ago we were at my grandson's dentist's office and it was on. I think it was the second one. But it had already started. So, again, I haven't seen any of them all the way through. I like Donkey's silliness. Done by Eddie Murphy.

Yes, you definitely should.. I think people of all ages would still enjoy this film.. especially if you watch with your family. Why not have a marathon f the 4 films, i am sure there are very good copies out there since the latest one has been released a long time ago.

Shrek is super funny..my fav scene is the last finale..where the song"I need a Hero" starts to play..really fantastic.. more funier when the little ginger bread man..jumps out in vain screamin for his fallen/defeated giant ginger bread man..ahhahahah..

Yes its was like Beauty and the Beast added with excellent animation by Dreamworks .It is actually based on picture book of same name, although they made lot of changes in the movie.I agree ,that kind of love story is rare in real world, may be that's why is this movie is loved by everyone.

Yes I agree! I like Sherk, not just some of the characters remained me with my childhood fairytales (Pinocchio, Gingerbread Man, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, etc) but also this movie is funny, and what more interesting is the moral, that we rarely find in the other fairy tale, its like the opposite of Beauty and the Beast story, which in Sherk, the beautiful Princess Fiona, willing to become an ugly Ogre for her love to Sherk.

You´re absolutely right. It resembles the original fairytales and lovestories in it. They just mixed lot of stories and created their own story, which was unique. But what I really like about first two Shrek movies, is the humour. Those movies are so funny. I am laughing all the time, when I am watching it. But what is sad, that they couldn´t keep stories so funny and original in Shrek 3 and 4.

Yes, it was definitely funny..The first two are the best ones, i think i liked the 2nd more since Puss was there which added more fun to the story. The 3rd one was nt that funny.. but the 4th was good enough, i guess it focused more on drama... it was a good ending to the series.

You are right, 3rd one was worst of the series. I couldn´t even watch it till end. The 4th was decent ending, but it could be better. It wasn´t so original like the first 2 films. Shrek 1 is my favourite animated movie of all times, so I was expecting more. :)
