lcd and led televisions

What is the difference between lcd tv and led tv??? We have recently buyed a lcd tv worth rs, 19,000 . It was a big one. But the led tv was costing 21,000, which was smaller than the lcd ...

LCD stands for "liquid crystal display" and LED stands for "light emitting diode". LED is also an LCD because both are liquid crystal displays but LCD uses fluoroscent lights whereas LED use the light emitting diode.LED's are more thinner than LCD's.They are also more energy efficient and provide better clarity.The viewing angle is also better than LCD.

I also think that clarity of television is high in LED.
