But he got a 1590 (out of 1600) on his SATs!
(I only got a 1440 ... when I was 11 or 12. I got a 1220 when I was the normal SAT-taking age, so I think the largest part of your score on that is 'answering all the questions (whether you know the answer or not).
(Or maybe it's 'NOT answering if you DON'T know,' I forget.)

It seems that Bill Gates majored in computer when he studied in Harvard. However, he quit it at last because at that time he wanted to focus on his computer business. He was busy with programming and so on. So I don't think that Bill Gates even has an university certification since he hasn't finished the study yet. It is unlikely that he is a doctor, too. He is likely to be an engineer who doesn't have an university degree.

Bill Gates went to harvard, but he dropped out. He is neither an engineer nor is he a doctor.

A PHD is a person that holds a doctorate's degree and for that reason they can be reffered to as a doctor. However, a Doctor that holds a doctorate degree is not a person that is qualified to practice medicine.
This said, I would say that Bill Gates is an engineer that holds a doctorate degree in the field on engineering, he is not a medical doctor at all if that is what you were thinking.

The "doctor" title refers to his doctorate degree. He is not a medical doctor. There are many professionals that earn the title of doctor because they have doctorate degrees in engineering, physics, computer science--any time you have a doctoral degree you can be called "Doctor". So when you meet a 'doctor' you might want to ask him or her what type of doctorate degree they have earned. Regardless of whether they are a medical doctor, they deserve the respect of the title because they've put ten years of effort or more into their education.

That would be an engineer with a PHD, which is the highest degree offered in our education system. I don't know if he has this title or not, whatever he has or doesn't have he's a success.

Bill Gates received an honorary doctorate from Harvard. He's a whole list of things: Industrialist, inventor, author, chairman, etc. and been some other things before that.

No, http://search.mylot.com/search.aspx?t=web&k=Bill+Gates'+education led me to a Wikipedia page that tells me that--after William Henry "Bill" Gates III graduated from Lakeside (an exclusive prep-school, where he developed his love for software-code)--he scored a 1590 on his SATs and went to Harvard for a year.
But after about a year at Harvard, he started Microsoft with a few friends & HIS PARENTS APPROVED OF his dropping-out!
