I met this guy through my friend who is dating a foreign exchange student from Ireland. His friend was down and we ended up spending a night at the bar when we went to a mutual friends party. The next day was his last day in Canada and we spent the entire day together. It was wonderful :) We exchanged email and facebook for when he left and in the week since he left we have talked every since day, exchanged out skype and have even watched a movie together online. he is wonderful and he think i am too. i am not taking too much serious stock in it but it is romantic and mkaes my heart beat quick. have you any advice or similar experiences to share?

i know it feels good to have that tingly feeling inside when you think about him, but remember it is a long distance kind of relationship. would you be ready to have a long distance relationship with him, if that's what it came to?

ive only had one other long distance relationship when i was in china and he was in canada and it worked for the month i was gone but even he addmitted tha it porbably wouldnt have lasted much longer than it did if i had stayed far away. the difference here, i feel, is that i plan on going there. the problem would be if i fall in love i would have to seriously consider staying there forever... it is all very early to be thinking these things though.

I can't say I've had a similar experience, but I'm certainly familiar with the feelings that you must be going through these days. I guess time is the only ultimate test for your budding relationship. I hope that it works out well.

As long as your happy then go for it. Remember to know him more and be always happy. As long as your both happy then a long distance relationship could work. You should just trust each other and be open..

Hi artsyfartsygypsy... I guess, you better take it slow. You are long distance and have just met and known each other. Better enjoy every moment but be cautious also as it might break your heart if things won't turn out good in the end.

I think if you can keep your relationship with him, you can make a happy relationship. But love is secret. Currently, it is a good idea if you keep this relationship relax and let it flow. If you and him feel comfort with this relationship, maybe you will be a happy couple. I hope...Have a nice day.

Ah, long distance relationship. I do have similar experience, skyping, talk everyday. I'm not an expert, but just follow the heart . The miles apart pretty suck. But just see how it goes and where to lead. Good luck !

I think that this is adorable! My situation was a bit different, I ended up dating a guy in high school and we dated for about 5 years, and for the last 2 years of it he was away at University and I was at home going to University here. It was a difference of 4 hours, is way less considering the guy you like is over seas. However, him and I didn't work out because eventually it got too much for him... being away so often and hardly ever coming home except during holidays... he ended up cheating and we ended it. Now I am not saying that's going to happen to you of course, follow your heart definitely. But long distance relationships are really hard to do because distance does play a role in it no matter how in love you are... humans need the physical interaction... so just remember that it will take an insane amount of work to make sure that all is well between you two when being so far apart. But definitely see where this goes, who knows ... anything can happen right? :)
