Liking Math

I have always liked Math in High School, even if my specialty is languages. Studies show that girls are more inclined to like language (and thus they learn to speak earlier - i learned to speak 11 months) and boys are more inclined to like math and logic-related subjects. Although this has been proven by many studies, is there any way for you guys to motivate yourselves to like and learn a subject that is not under your stereotyped specialty?

well i cannot tell about the liking part as for me my liking of a subject is mainly influenced by who is teaching it and how it is being taught for example i used to hate science when i was in 6th grade coz the teacher was a nightmare but now i i am in a new place and just love science

Oh yeah. that happened to me too. I liked 9th grade science but disliked 10th grade science. We changed teachers during 10th grade so i did not really like it at all.

Hmmm, personally, I'm a guy and I have had troubles with Math but seem to have a profound interest in languages. Totally the reverse, right? Haha. Well, even though I have a level of dislike for Maths, I have somehow overcome that and can perform calculations pretty well now. I believe that it's possible to get yourself to like a subject, even love it. The trick here is to continue to practice, practice, and practice. You will get something out of it eventually.

i think studies results are not applicable to me,too.i love languages very much, but also spent much more time learning maths and physics, although they are not my favorite.the more readings you do ,the deeper understanding on these subjects you get.after that, it will be easier to find joys .
