I told my sister about the Home School program I use for my children and she fell in love with the program too! She will be using the program for learning during the summer for her kids and extra work for her daughter since she is not getting enough learning from school! I am excited that she likes the program as much as I do and her kids are so excited because the program is fun while their learning.

Sounds like a great program if kids like it. Anymore you really have to keep their interest.

It is a really good program. And it definitely keeps their interest, they never want to stop their lessons each day. If I let them do it all in one day I am pretty sure they would! Lol.

I think if I had kids today I'd homeschool them also but at a later age. I don't know if that's one word or two...home school or homeschool. Oh well, it's morning here and I haven't had enough coffee yet.
I think I'd let them go to elementary school and then take them out. High schools are just getting too scary today.

I started mine off with the Home Schooling because I didn't want to put them in school, let them make friends there and then take them out. It would have been harder for them to adjust to it that way. That is the only reason I started them with it from the beginning because I thought about it a lot.

Good point...I never thought of it that way. Good thing I don't have kids anymore because they'd probably hate me.

They wouldn't hate you but they would probably be VERY angry for a long time! Lol.
I thought about it because at first that is what I was going to do. Then I thought about it and I was like no, their going to make friends by then and be taken out of school and be mad at me for taking them away from their friends! No thank you.

Hello Loving I did homeschooling with my first and second kids, they enjoyed it a lot because they thought like we were playing to the school. We three enjoyed it a lot. But when our third kid was born I had no more quality time to study with them. Then I looked for schools with reduced groups no more than 10 children for kindergarten, for elementary no more than 17 kids at classroom, and for secundary school no more than 24 classmates.
I´m very glad to know that your children and your sister are excited with the program it is a very important beginning. Good luck!
Blessings Loving... dainy

I have heard a lot of joining in that kind of program. And I am intrigued on how kids can really benefit with just homeschooling instead of going to a regular school. How do you manage to teach your kids if they are from different levels? And are all study aids given to you or you make a research on them?

I see... coz from what I have seen from a tv show before, the mother interviewed said that they were sent some materials and that the mother was the one who teaches the children. So now, they do it online....got it!

That is the old way of doing things. Now they have so many more different programs to choose from. The parents no longer have to be the teachers...

I do not teach them anything, the program does. That's what I pay for, to have the online program teach them. So I don't have to be smart or anything like that. They do it all on there and the program grades their work and keeps track of their attendance.

That is great! I didn't know you home schooled your children. How long have you been home schooling them? It is great to find a program that parents like as well as the children enjoy learning from. Glad to hear that your sister is going to use the program. Is it a free program?

Yes and we love it! I have been Home Schooling since September. =) We are all in love with the program their in. It's great because the program is affordable and keeps track of attendance, and grades for me! So much easier for me! It is $20 per month! Definitely something I can actually afford.

I wish I had the opportunity as a child to be home schooled, I wonder if it would have prevented some of the relentless bullying I received at both Primary and Secondary schools both from the other kids and also from the teachers, yes back then the teachers could get away with bullying and even hitting kids! I think my mum was a wonderful teacher back then and would always help me with my homework and schooling, she even went up to school to complain about the bullying. I think I would have learnt so much more, most of the time in classes everyone would act up, because the majority of the teachers couldn't control us. Is it any wonder why I came out of school with mediocre grades. I am glad your sister has warmed to the program too and lets hope it will be beneficial to her children too.

I wish my parents would have Home Schooled me as well. And now my parents wish they did as well! But back then it was not very popular like it is now. They never really knew about it.
I am so glad I made the decision to Home School them, even though many people in my own family are against it! I did not care what they thought though. I did what was best for my family and we are all happy about it!

It is always good to have summer enrichment. I am curious about this program so would you send me details in a PM? My daughter would like to homeschool, so far her hubby is against it, but she does a lot of stuff with her kids and it might be good for summer.

My daughter would be able to teach her kids and does teach them. This would take care of the organizational aspect for her, though, and might help her feel more in control. She feels like there is so much at school that is not learning and then even in kindergarten the kids had homework, and she feels that there is no time for extra curricular activities for them or learning artsy things or things like cooking and theater and dance classes.

I will send you a pm with the details of it all GG. =) It really is a great program, they learn so much! My husband was against home schooling at first too until he saw the program and how much they were learning from it. He was against it because he thought we had to teach the kids and he didn't think we would be able to. Once he saw the program he was all for it! And the kids love it too! :)

If I could go back and do it like you are doing it now, I would. The public schools are over crowded and under staffed. I would not want to be sending a child through the system now. With home schooling, you call the shots and if you are dedicated they will get all the socializing and extra curricular that they need.

Exactly! My children will be in sports that the local church has and the public schools now allow Home Schooled children to go to the prom and other things too! It is great. =)

Home Schooling is not very popular here in my country. However, my youngest sister's children are all under home schooling programe . It is good in a way to have a self arrannged flexi hours and learning at own pace. Usually they would complete their grade faster than the government school . Another advantage is the environment. There are a lot of peer pressure in the school as well as bad influences.

School really is not the place for socializing anyway. As adults we socialize despite not being in school. As long as the parents are social, the kids,no doubt be exposed to other kids and form friendships.

It is getting more popular here in this country but it's still not the most popular thing either... This program I use for the kids is great though! And it is affordable. =)
The only thing people ever say bad about Home Schooling is lack of socializing. With my children that is not the case. They have friends here all the time since I have my Childcare Business, plus they go to Sunday School with more friends and soon they will be in sports so they can learn how to be competitive and they can get more socialization there. So, no one can ever tell me my children are not being socialized! Lol.
There are a LOT of things that led me to the decision of Home Schooling. I don't want anyone deciding how fast or slow my children can learn, I didn't want my kids learning the things they get from other kids, I don't want them to be bullied, I like the one on one learning and the learning is flexible according to our schedule! They do a lot less Home Schooling during the day than the actual school day other kids do. And they learn MORE since their at home with no other kids to distract them...

i quite approve of the program of home school.if i have children,i would be willing to adopt this way.but it is not popular in my country.most people use to send their children to brick and mortar school.i think in the not far future, our people will accept this teaching method .

Yeah it is great for the kids. I feel better with Home Schooling than sending them to public school. Not all people are accepting of it here either, I just don't particularly care to be honest. I like it and my kids love it, that is all that matters to me!

I plan to home school any children my boyfriend and I may one day have. Hopefully, that day is not too terribly far off...
I have some ideas as to the resources that I would want to incorporate, and I am already fairly well-versed in the homeschooling laws of this state.

Home Schooling has really become something great! There are so many opportunities now a days with it. There is no more "lack of socialization" anymore. They have tons of groups and sports for the Home Schooled children. =)
Yeah I did a ton of research before I found this perfect program for us. :)

I'm wondering if I should start home schooling my younger child at least. I think she might be getting picked on at school even though she says she's not. Here recently she has started playing this game of "I'm sick" every morning .Its always at the time for them to wait on the bus. She gets very upset, but I can't keep her home all the time.

This is a great program if your interested let me know. =) Home Schooling was the best choice for my family. I did not want to have to deal with bullying, peer pressure, lack of attention from teachers, my kids learning things too young, etc... I just didn't like any of it!
From the sound of things, you might want to look into Home Schooling. This program teaches the children for you and keeps track of their grades and attendance. All you have to do is now and then maybe help them if they get stuck on something. It is so easy and affordable.
Just message me if you want to know what they are using. =)

Home schooling here isn't regulated so in the end those homeschooled have no education. I was homeschooled for 2 years, and put back into school or else to this day I wouldn't have an education. I remember in high school I was hanging around with a girl who was so lazy and useless (to say the least she is still this way), she technically dropped out of school yet she was vbeing pushed through and passed. Whereas me homeschooled wasnt, even though I was in school technically she wasn't (I had all the papers). We ended up having to go to the school baord and fight it, this girl was pushed out of school, and eventually dropped out, and to this day can't spell cat. I ended up going back to school and getting my diplomas.

Home Schooling is a wonderful opportunity here. =) They have tons of activities for the home schooled children, sports and field trips, etc. There is so much. My kids do their studies online, thank goodness they don't have to worry about me being smart because I don't teach them, the program does.
My children are very smart and they do well in their studies. It teaches them so much. They will not have to worry about being behind or dropping out. This is a great program for them! =)

I think home school program is the efficient way to let your children learn more. People can adjust it based on different situation.Less disciplines allow kids to have more fun with study. However,I think some certain rules and requirements are necessary, because they do need to compete with others when they grow up. Anyway as long as you have made such a decision, I think you have already prepared a lot.

My children will get to compete-in sports. There is plenty of competing with that! And my children will be in them once they get older. So, there goes the only argument anyone has for Home Schooling!
