there are so many hidden fees

i called the hospital yesterday asking for how much is the charge for this particular simple procedure. the one i have talked to told me that it is just $10 in all. and so this day we needed that procedure done. it was just simple procedure and it just took about less than 5 minutes . when i was about to pay, the one who computer it told me it cost about $ 30. so there were so many small fees beside the procedure itself. it was done on the ER.

You did't mention what type of procedure you've undergone. If you go to private hospitals in our country, you are most likely to pay for the doctor's fee and other relevant fees. Did you ask the cashier why it cost you that much for a simple medical procedure?

That is some pricing there. One person told me that there are many fees in hospitals that are not even relevant and are unnecessary to pay yet we still pay them.
