I feel like the queen of procrastination!

This is my last day of vacation. And I feel like I haven't accomplished a thing. I did spend a week of it in California with my daughter and her family...but when I came back I had three days to do a few things around here. In the beginning I had planned on doing some spring cleaning like washing curtains and shampooing carpets. Well....so far I haven't done one thing on my list. I just don't feel like it and the statement "it will be there tomorrow" keeps going through my head! I really wish I had found some ambition to get started. I did have an order to fill and that took most of yesterday and this morning...but last night I could have done something. Are you in the mood for spring cleaning? Or how about some extra jobs that are waiting for you?

If you overwork then I am going to get cross with you! Remember the high blood pressure? It won't decrease if you don't stop working so hard

Awww, a week is never enough and even 2 weeks seem short. I feel for you. Sometimes when we go on vacation we're not in the mood to come home and do work. Don't feel so bad, you were still on vacation and just chillin' out.
I'm making a Fairy House for my granddaughter so I've been sort of busy on and off. I'm waiting for some items to come from Ebay to finish it off. It's pretty cute even if I say so myself, lol! Not quite in the mood for spring cleaning yet...I like it when the windows are wide open.
Hope you had a good vacation with your daughter and her family...that must have been so much fun!

See, that is the beauty of Passover, my spring cleaning is done and over with...
As for your procrastination, enjoy yourself, you are on vacation, do something exciting or relaxing or just do nothing. Personally if I had the free time, I would just read. I mean I read my book before I go to bed, but to have the option to read whenever I want, I would love that.

I can't remember where you live, but you got snow coming your way? I am hoping our snow days this season is over. Yesterday was beautiful, 70s and sunny, the first good day, to spend outside, of the season and though it was cloudy today, it is suppose to stay warm.

Well, I got out for a walk today.. that's probably the best I'll do today :)
I've been very lazy lately. I need to fix that, but it's not going to happen all in one day.

I have actually done a number of tasks this past week and some creative stuff last night too! I cleared down all boxes and suitcases from the tops of closets and threw out stuff like crazy and dumped receips for stuff both bought and worn out years ago. Felt good about that and started to get personal papers in order. Not finished. The big job is clearing out what is under my bed but that has to wait until the lady who helps me as she comes on Wednesday. Just not physically able to get it out myself.
Now apart from that, my helper did clean out all kitchen cupboards so that was another big job and then yesterday I got creative. I took an old picture frame and made a collage of photos of my husband, myself and out four children at different ages. I bought the glue to stick them in place tonight and tomorrow will buy some non reflective glass and then it is ready to hang. I plan to do another one of all the grandchildren and then another with extended family - aunts, uncles and cousins etc. I thought that this is one way of displaying a large number of photos at one time without dozens of frames and I have an empty wall either in my bedroom or in the dining room.
Then, I went a little wild and hung up my plate collection in my dining room - a job I have been putting off from last October so all in all, I feel that I am accomplishing something. I hope that you feel in the mood soon. Blessings

You are amazing! I did get the lawn picked up and half my craft room straightened up but still have alot to do in there...and I also want to clean the spare bedroom..it looks like it blew up as the granddaughter loves to be in there and she has a ton of things spread through the room.

I am right along with you in the procrastination department. I mean well but nothing gets done! Spring cleaning, what's that? lol I can barely keep up with this big house since our cleaning lady left. I would prefer working on a craft project but do manage to keep up with the laundry and dishes. When the laundry basket is overflowing and the sink can't hold anymore dishes, I get on it. If a room needs cleaning or things tossed, I just don't go in that room any longer. Works for me and my husband never complains. The older I get, the worse it becomes. I do understand "tomorrow."

Take a bit of time to kick back.It is so miserable in England at the moment.Openning all the windows and washing curtains seems just to much hard work.Maybe once it warms up a bit I might feel like doing extra jobs. Not working anyway means most of the jobs get done on a regular basis.Sometimes it is just to much effort still in hibernation.

Heya Jill,
Every time I try to do something out of ordinary I find I can only get it done when they are all out of the house including the dog.
Today I have just given up twice already but the trouble is if I leave it till tomorrow it will be all twice as dirty so I am doing the best I can and not going to overdo things for anyone.
I refuse to get frustrated by these kind of situations where I continually find "blocks" to my efforts its not worth it at all so I most always clean extra things when it occurs to me and never make a list.
A list is most off putting to me at least to someone it might be a challenge but to me its something I do most times.
Now I clean when I feel like it and that way I get things done much better that is really what I am trying to say.
At the moment I am in no mood for cleaning but it will get done more or less lol.
Anyone want to lend me a hand. I love doing carpets but I donĀ“t have them anymore.xxx

I get the same affliction! But I believe there are times when our mind or body just says "NO". This is a great time to stop, turn around and look at your life over the last 6 months and realize how much you've done and maybe it's time to just give yourself a break. I call it a "mental vaca". Everyone needs a few of these throughout the year.
You attend a ton of shows, work and nurture your family without fail. Time to "stop and smell the roses".

I hope you are able to get something done that is on your list. I'm not exactly in the mood for spring cleaning but I hope to get in the mood of just organizing more things. I hope your evening goes well.
