Do you still keep a photo album?

It is so easy to take a photo now and store it in the computer immediately. Everyone could also just instantly take their own photos with their mobile phones and digital cameras. In social networking sites, photos are all over and old ones just come up. I always get surprised of photos posted by friends and relatives from yesteryears. Which then reminds me of our old photo albums back home. I always looked at my parents photos when I was a kid. I terribly missed them all the time coz I was living with my grandparents which was really far from where my parents were. I also just looked at old pictures for my own amusement. These photo albums were like magazines or coffee table books, they were openly lying around in the living room shelf. Guests could just open them freely. Back in my parents house, we also had of course but the house got burned in the late 90s together with the photos. Some were saved. We had to cut out the burned parts. I wander if that album is still alive. I should scan them when I go home one day.:)

Yes, those albums from the passed, but now a days I always save photos to our computer or ipad. Because it is easy to save, but I know photo albums are the best way to keep our photos.

i love see photos in albums and like to keep them. albums are just fast way of seeing photos, while for online photos we need some time to wait to watch them.. I love to keep photos in album and like to see old photos many times..it make a smile for me when I see old photos , that recalls our old memories..

Today I only use a digital camera, but I still place my photos in photoalbums. When I return from a trip I go through all of the photos that I have taken during the trip and I delete the bad photos and the dublicate photos and then I take the card to the shops and ask them to make copies of the photos that I want for my photo albums. I have saved the photos on my computer as well so that I can upload them online or attach them to an email that I send to a friend, but I like to keep the photos in my photoalbums in case the computer breaks down or something like that. I also have many photoalbums from the past (from the time before the digital cameras) and they are all very important to me.

Hi, We have many photo albums in our house. It is very exciting experience to watch old albums. We have black and white photo albums of my 2 sisters weddings. My childhood photos are also black and white. My wedding album is colored. these albums are in good condition. I is very funny to watch my son's childhood photos. We can watch photo album anywhere and anytime. But we have to keep them very carefully. It is very good that some albums are saved from burning.

Yes it is nice to go through childhood photos. And being able to flip through a photo album is great, I feel more connected compared to viewing on a computer screen. What my sis-in-law is to purchase photobooks, a lot of companies provide this service now and I must say they do a pretty good job. You can try this when you return from trips or do one every few months for your children's photos.

We have both digital and hard copy version of our photos - the former mainly because that's how there were created originally. Hard copy versions will be like gold in the not-too-distant future because the medium on which they are stored are always changing and the corresponding players of the medium become redundant, eg disk drives and CD Players. True enough that much information is being stored in the Cloud, but history tells us that the ability to retrieve and replay the stored information does disappear. Holders of historical images on paper/board/linen will have invested wisely if they are kept securely and 'hygenically'

You are very right with the advancement of technology. We can take pictures and could save them in our computer or even in our emails or facebook account and could see and take them anywhere in the world. But going through old albums sometimes do refresh your memories of old times. Happy mylotting.

My mom and dad still makes us of photo albums. They prefer having it the conventional way than just keeping it stored int the computer or mobile phones. Some of the older albums, mom have replaced them especially those pictures she has when she was still a kid.

Yes, photo album is different it is a permanent file that can be seen anytime with a steady photo that can be reckoned anytime while what is stored in the computer nor digital camera can't be seen without electric current and not healthy for your eye if use constantly.
