In order to be successful at this you will need to have access to real-time data from the various airlines that show not only the seat prices, but the seat maps as well. You would have to check in your area to see what is required of you to have access to such information. You would also need to be able to take credit cards, as usually the ticketing/travel agent places a hold on the seats (here it lasts 24 hours), then the agent collects the money from the client and confirms the seats by paying the airline for the seats. You would also need a corporate credit card, as when you pay for the seats they can debit your corporate card for the price of the seats. The line of credit that the corporate card has would be a big factor in determining how many tickets you can sell at any given time. You may also be able to debit a corporate bank account for the money, which would help.

Long time no see jjzone44. Thank for your information. In my place this kind of business have already mushroomed as though air ticket selling is very promising. The businesss will also include national and international package tours. I haven't got my hands on detailed info regarding package tours.

Great info, jjzone44. I will discuss it with my boss. He's just started his 6th restaurant, which is bigger and plans to have a travel agent next to the building. It seems promising, actually.

If you are going to get a foot in on this business I would suggest doing it sooner rather than later. The Internet has taken a lot of business from travel agents. I used to use one exclusively for my vacations, then I started booking air travel only through the Internet, now I even do my vacation packages through there. There are still people that like the idea of having a travel agent behind them if they have a problem, but that segment is dwindling.

What I observe in our place is that the establishment dealing with this kind of business is dealing with one particular airline. I think you need to attend seminar about this kind of business before you start one.
Well, good luck! I wish you success on this plan.
Have a wonderful day!

Thank Aries. Sorry for the late response. At the moment I am still searching for information dealing with air ticket selling. I am not the one to start it. I will be one of the team work there.
