Getting a short trip somewhere cheap in the winter

I have been doing some clutter clearing in my lounge and I came across an old travel magazine. It is from May and June 2012. It gives a list of 25 trips for less than 250 pounds. The people stayed away up to 5 days typically. The places which interest me for a winter trip are Albania, Morocco or Cyprus. Both of those would be relatively warm when it is winter in my home country. I might go in late October to early November or February. I would rely on getting cheap flights. Which months are winter time in your home country? Where would you like to travel to for a short trip in the winter?

Normally our winter starts in late October and goes to early March, but now the winter is still on. According to the calender it should be from December 21 to March 22. With us, it depends on whether the planes can get off the ground.

I had this extensive cold and I am tempted if I find one of those global warmers who probably encourage this cloud seeding to bring the weather down, to lock them in a large freezer and open the door after a few seconds and ask "Is it cold enough for you?" But getting away from my evil thought, I wish I was taking a cruise right now in the South Pacific or something warm. Except now there is two concerts coming up, so the only time for vacation would be in the summer. It is so cold outside, the snow is on the ground. And I have not got that money back that was spent on income tax, etc. from two years ago.

April is known for its showery rain. At the moment the weather is unpleasantly cold and windy. It is not at all spring like. My mum had a very wintery birthday in March. I am glad I will be off traveling overseas in May and June. I hope to come home to glorious sunshine in June. I won't want to see the end of August will I. I am really fed up with wintery weather.

To travel within our country winter is the best season. Because in our country excepting the Himalayan region most of the times of a year is too hot. In Asia outside our country South East Asian countries like Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore are the suitable places to visit in winter. You may get cheap flight offer in winter to travel those countries.

Hello my friend. I can see winter is the best time to see your home country. I very much wish to travel to India in the future. If I visited Thailand I could easily travel overland to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The Philippines is another place I am very keen on the idea of going to.

I still get really good deals with work and myself and some friends are going to Newquay in June but, all I can think about is that we should have gone away fro 3 nights to spain instead! It is actually goign to cost more money and we'll spend longer driving there than we would have doen flyign to spain and it would have cost us less. Hopefully it will still be a good holiday but, if it rains and is cold like it was here in the uk last year, I think I will cry!

Here in my area, the best place to getaway for the winter is Vegas! Not that it is a bit warmer there (still relatively cold), it is the cheapest. There is small airport near hear which offers direct flights to Las Vegas. You could get a travel package for 4 days, 3-nights for just around $300-400. Not for kids, though.

Hi, Sadly enough, no matter how we long for that really cold winter season with its blanketing white snow, it could never happen in our tropical country. The nearest cool weather we can have here is when the Siberian winds from up North blows down to us and the temperature plunges down to a measly 20 deg Celsius, nothing more, not even suitable for a sweater or thin jacket. Needless to say, it is always home for me, even during "winter" months.

Hi there. You would have loved it where I used to live: Kent. It snows there most winters. Snow made a very pretty picture. It rarely snows here in North Somerset due to the coast being nearby. Your home country sounds delightfully warm to hot all year round. Sometimes country can have a wet season followed by a dry season.

Hi wow that sounds interesting . November to February is winter in our country. But the place where i stay is not too hot nor too cold either. Its a coastal place (city).I never though of any winter plans as we dont have any winter vacations here. Here mostly people go for summer trips.

Hi there. I see that most people take summer trips where you live. I live in the suburb of a coastal town. It is lovely that where you live never gets too hot or too cold. It can get miserably cold in the winter in my home country.

Years ago when I went away I always chose October or November to travel especially if the place had a hot climate, it would be far cooler out of season, plus it is so much cheaper too, the prices are sky high for peak times like July and August. I used to get some real cheap flights using Easyjet. I remember paying just 24 pounds to fly to Germany and back. If you can get cheap accommodation then you can cheap breaks.
