Barack Obama has made his fundamental campaign strategy the blaming of other people. Bush, Greenspan, Reagan — he’s tied Republicans into every aspect of the economy being broken. And, of course, he’d be right about most of that. Bush and Greenspan both created easy credit, big spending, and unsustainable policies that have hurt our economy.
But now, Obama’s going to have some explaining to do about his own actions before he was president. A bombshell new story at The Daily Caller reports that Barack Obama used his status as a legal hired gun to sue Citibank to force them to give loans to poor minorities in Chicago.
In other words, he sued a bank into creating subprime mortgages.

Bill Clinton's own administration, more than any other, promoted an unsustainable housing boom, which eventually and inevitably led to a housing bust that brought down the whole American economy.
Behind all the complex financial processes that reached to Wall Street and beyond, there is one fundamental fact: many people stopped making their mortgage payments.
Why did that happen? Because mortgage loans were made to people who did not meet the long-established qualification standards for getting a mortgage loan. And why did that happen? Because the Clinton administration threatened lawsuits against lenders who did not approve mortgage loans to minority applicants as often as to white applicants.
In other words, racial quotas replaced credit qualifications. A failure to have racial statistics on mortgage approvals that fit the government's preconceptions was equated with discrimination.
Attorney General Reno said that lenders who "closely examine their lending practices and make necessary changes to eliminate discrimination" would "fare better in this department's stepped-up enforcement effort than those who do not." She said: "Do not wait for the Justice Department to come knocking.
BUSH ADMINISTRATION TRIED TO WARN OF IMPENDING DOOM, TRIED TO PASS REGULATORY MEASURES TO STOP IT AND THE DEMOCRATS BLOCKED IT.

Twist it all you want. Fact is, the progressive left and right are killing our country. I'm not saying Republicans are not involved, because RINOS are every bit as involved as the progressive right. But I'm sick of Obama getting away with blaming everyone but himself and his Socialist Democrat cronies.

Many people who had the money stopped paying mortgagers because their house wasn't worth as much as they were paying. Others quit my daughter because she lost her job. We paid for a year waiting to see if she would be able to get another job but she didn't so we did a short sale. Still had to pay the loan she got from the government.

But we're told the economy is so much better thanks to Obama. Lots of suffering people out there and still he's moving forward! Right over the cliff.

We are being given a placebo. All the money I own and what everybody else owns will not pay off our debt. It is only a matter of time before the party is all over and the bills come due.

Very sad, Usa to cut things... but they still give billions to other countries. Sorry... Obama should take care of his own first.

It's sad to see how the whole party's strategy is blame plus insults, vilifying, name calling.. Which really, along with all the "every one not liberal must be racist" spiel (anyone with a view on any issue other than liberal is racist spiel) is not doing the country nor the people any good at all.

That's how you keep control flowerchilde, you first dumb the people down in the schools, then you promise them a brave new world, give them cutesy slogans, and then keep them so divided and angry at one another they won't be able to learn the truth or even think for themselves.

You and me, too (sick of Obama getting away with shifting the blame). It's so frustrating that so many people can't see this, or choose not to think about it.
The buck stops anywhere except at Obama's desk. What does that say about his character, much less his presidency?

I'm still of the opinion he has no character to speak of.

Personally, the people that are still blaming Bush for this economy even 4 yrs later come on, what will it take to wake them up and see the real picture? No, Bush did some things that did not help the economy but things were not so tight and people struggling. I personally, am a little worried about what will happen in the next 4 yrs and not sure what can be any help. I think it will take a miracle to really see things get any better.

No man can always do the right thing, and Bush is not perfect. I have a lot of issues with him, the economy is not one of them.
I'm a bit on edge myself KrauseHome.

Obama campaigned against Mitt Romney and other conservatives with plans to save Social Security and now he's doing what they proposed. Liberals are awfully quiet about that and many RINOS are too.
We had a chance at maybe getting out of this mess. Once upon a time..
I'm so sorry for your plight, it seems like everyone in America has lost something important and vital. And they still reelected him, and half the country can see no failings.
