Is time travelling and teleporting the same?

Tele porting is a complete transport of a body from one place to another at same time and time travelling is also the same thing but it only occurs at a different time (past or future). Does that mean if we achieve teleporting we can achieve time travelling or vice-versa?

Interesting thought.
Time traveling, as you know, is travel through time. Time is considered to be the 4th dimension, so traveling through it would require the ability to travel in 4D.
Teleporting is traveling instantly to another location in three dimensions. This is traveling through a lower dimension than time travel would require, so it is a bit different.
However, according to Einstein's theory of relativity, the faster we move, the slower time goes, and if we somehow reached the speed of light, we would see time essentially stop. (This of course is not proven, but the math is there, and it is very complicated and mind numbing). Therefore, if we could instantly travel to any location, we would essentially be moving faster than the speed of light and this might allow us to manipulate time into a sort of time travel.
Very confusing, but according to this idea, if you figured out teleportation, you could use it as time travel as well.

Hmmm...It makes sense. well, I hope our generation could do something about it. Even I'm into this stuff. I'm an Aerospace Enginner so was just breaking out some ideas.

i dont think they're the same. time travelling defy time and location somehow . unlike teleportation you can just go to other places . it doesn't really defy time because they cant go to the past.

Well said. So your saying that in time travel the location remains the same and time changes and in teleporting the location chaneges but time remains the same. Yes this makes perfect sense

i think the difference is with time traveling, you go back to a different time, whereas teleporting you just go from place to place. i don't think that it makes the two interchangeable.

Yeah but what my thought was in teleporting the time value is "zero" and in time travelling it has some value. If this makes any sense then both the time travel and teleporting are the same thing...
