Yes guys u heard it right, the word "hospital" always scares me out. when someone tells me about being at hospital or is going to visit a hospital then i get terrified and get negative thoughts. it is not that i have bad memories with hospitals in the past but still i do not know why i always get weird thoughts upon hearing this word.
Even i get scared whenever i have entered a hospital as it becomes difficult for me to see the patients, docs and nurses around. I hope i never get such thoughts in the future.
What r your thoughts about this guys? Do u also get weird thoughts whenever u hear the word "hospital"? Please do share your thoughts!

Yes, indeed this is called ' hospitalized phobia ' many years ago, one of my college was hospitalized for almost six months due to a fatal accident. On one of the occasion, we intend to pay a visit another college of ours and immediately he was scared off when he heard the word ' Hospital ' and instead he just wanted to offer gift as his substitute. Very powerful psychological impact as a result of an terrible accident !

Have you always been this way since you were a kid? What do you think caused this huge fear?
I for one, hate having to deal with injections. I mean, really, I would rather perform the injection to another person, which I did when I was in College, but I would rather not have them. But of course, that is impossible. And having hospitalized 2 years back, I HAD LOTS OF IT!

Other than giving birth, I was hospitalized due to severe dehydration. I ate a spoiled food and that cause me severe diarrhea. At first, I did not mind about it, but after going to the toilet for 10 times in one day, I really got weak.

Oh my goodness i know diarrhea is a terrible disease and once it occurs, it will take away your sleep n comfort as you keep running to the toilet for loose motions, i was diagnosed with jaundice and i also had the same fate as yours. But thankfully i was not admitted in the hospital rather i was treated at home.

Well to be very honest, i never had any thoughts about hospital before, actually in the recent years i have lost some closed ones of mine and the news of both of their loss we got through the phone calls, so from then every time i get any calls on our landline phone i get tensed and worried.
ha ha ha, i know many of us really have that fear of injection getting into our body but still at times we have to take it if our doc has advised us to do so.
for what reasons where u hospitalized?

yes dear friend, this problem is not with me only, in fact this is common with many people as well who also avoid going to hospital with the fear of catching harmful germs and bacteria that might get them sick, besides the weird smell of the hospital wards makes it even worse.

ha ha ha, yes u are absolutely right, no matter how posh or expensive a hospital is, it will always have the same characteristic of a general hospital, u are bound to get the pungent and weird smell of certain wards or medicines which is extremely intolerable and unpleasant for me.

Ha ha ha, i can understand your problem dear and even i do the same rather than going to any clinic or hospital i try to take medicines in case i have minor illness otherwise no matter what we have to take the help of doctors and hospitals if the illness is serious as there is no other options for us.

True. It is because when I was young normally people get admitted in hospital for serious treatment. Nowadays on account of pressure of work many youngsters also get admitted in hospitals , get treatment and discharged. with advanced facilities available in hospital now doctors are capable of getting patient cured. we need not have this fear.

Yes u are absolutely right, these days youngsters are getting admitted in hospitals or are either consulting doctors more often due to the present lifestyle which is bound to act contagious for them. besides nowadays treatment has become such that there is an answer to most of the illness so we not to have any fear like before.

i am not really scared but i feel anxious when i hear the word hospital. the next thing that pops to my mind always is "WHO?". i have been awakened three times in the middle of the night with a phone call. i sleepily answered the phone and i became wide awake and alert when i heard the word hospital.
i don't get anxious myself whenever i go there. i've been confined in the hospital three times in my life. while i was there, i was more curious to know about what was happening to my body and the anxiety never had time to set in.
i only worry when i hear the word followed with a name of a loved one.

Yes u are absolutely right there is nothing to get scared of this word, i also get anxious when i hear this word as i always get negative thoughts about it, besides if it is associated with someone very close to one's heart then it is very panicky situation. I know it must be a tough situation to answer a call in the middle of the night.

i hate the hospital environment and the smell which is associated with any typical hospital. if i am in hospital i feel sick even though i am fine. i think it is because of the environment in a hospital. i hate the smell of the medicines.
