Jazz, his surgery and more updates.

I have been under a great deal of stress lately and haven't been on here in a while. Because of that, I haven't posted an update on Jazz. I worried about him on the day of his surgery, but I shouldn't have done so because he sailed through it with no problems. I was happy to hear that he'd gotten through the surgery, and the ramp I had ordered for them had gotten to them just in time for that day. Jazz was afraid of the ramp, but they got him up and into the van. There was one complaint about the picture, someone had said that they were abusing him, but she clearly didn't know the whole story, obviously hadn't read it. But he was fine. A bit miffed over the first week when he wasn't allowed in the creek due to his staples, but I guess he got used to it. I got an email the other day from Jazz's caretaker that the tumor was classified as a low grade cancer, and that was a good sign. It could have been much worse. He hasn't lost any weight, but he hasn't gained any either, so that's a good thing. The point is that he's doing well and I'm extremely happy about that. They are taking such good care of him, I know I made the right choice when I sent him to the haven.

I am glad to hear that Jazz's surgery went fine. I don't know what means that the tumor is a low grade cancer, but if you say it's a good sign, I can't buy be happy for him. Does the vet said anything about the life expectancy for Jazz?

Its always worrisome when an older person or pet has to have surgery. At least the person normally knows and understands what's going on. Poor pets have no idea. I'm glad he came through it fine and with a low grade cancer one has to hope it won't recur.
