I am not trying to target England fans at all, i have got nice friends there. Its just that we have seen how much English media has written against IPL, we all know Kevin Pieterson claimed that IPL gets lot of negative publicity by English media. Now England players want to play in IPL,so ECB are trying to negotiate with BCCI to start IPL early and end it in April. Why this sudden change? if IPL was bad earlier it should be bad now also ,isnt it.Since ECB has changed its stance now ,means that there perception about IPL has changed now, would be interesting to know the reaction of English media on this.

Now all the players from across the globe wants to play in IPL. They are pressurizing their board not to have any international duties while ipl is on. So ECB wants that ipl should end before the summer sets in England. But I don't think that BCCI is going to pay any heed to their demand.

You are so right, actually we all know that English media has written lot of stuff to downplay IPL.Now their own players want to play in IPL.This will just strengthen the position of BCCI and IPL further. This stalemate between ECB and BCCI was needless anyways. Thanks a lot for your response.

It seems that ECB is trying to exert undue pressure. Other countries too at times play in different series during the time of IPL. Yet, they do not exert this sort of pressure. I think there should be a consistent policy with regards to IPL. If important English players need to miss IPL at times, then let it be so. Or re-schedule their fixtures early accordingly.

I agree with you actually its a possibility that ECB is still not so happy with IPL and all,but they have initiated negotiations because of pressure from players.Their players have commitments towards county sides and national side but it may happen that many of those players will prefer IPL over other commitments because here there is so much money for much lesser workload. They are just trying to create a window so that their players can accommodate IPL along with other commitments. Thanks a lot for your response.
