One of my cats has to be with me constantly! He thinks he knows everything I'm going to but he's wrong sometimes. At night I have a ritual where I turn off the kitchen lite and put a nightlight on. He starts going to my bedroom knowing that's where I'm going. When I go to the bathroom he sits outside the door knowing he's not allowed in there. When I get my keys to leave my apartment he's waiting at the door because he likes to go into the hall. When I get off the couch he's between my feet as I walk because he doesn't know where I'm going. So many times I have almost tripped in fact one time I did and I hit my head on the wooden part of my couch. Luckily I just got a bump and was ok. Some day, if I'm not careful I'm going to take a good fall because of him. Have you ever had a cat that just wouldn't leave you and followed you around like a dog? Anyone know how I can stop him from doing this?

We have one like that. Ours even back talks us. When you yell at him. Cats are so funny.

Same as this one. At 4pm he sits at back door. Knows its time to eat I guess.

Our cat has a habit of doing that, and many times during the night, she sits in the dark in the middle of the staircase, she will either be trodden on, or tripped over, and yet she likes to sit there, maybe she is keeping guard, like a watch cat! I have to turn the hall light on, even though the light filters through into the other rooms, it's better that than having a nasty accident or the cat squawking because you've trodden on her. She is also nearly blind bless her so doesn't know where she is going or what she is doing, so she will walk right into you as you are walking around the house.

I have four kitties who all sleep with me at night and usually gather in the living room when I watch TV. Sweetie, the only female will pester me for petting when I'm in bed and sometimes when I'm on the couch. Her brother, Hobbit, has to be with me most of the time and will climb on top of me when I get into bed, before I get settled. The littlest one, Bobbin, will pester me when I eat. He's a walking stomach. His brother, Magic, the largest, is aloof sometimes, but if he wants my attention he'll pat me on whatever part of me he can reach to get me to pet him. A little is never enough so he'll do it again and again. If I get tired of petting his luxurious coat, or I'm busy, I can get a break by being too affectionate, mushy, with him. Then he'll "be a boy" and run off for a while. He takes after their dad sometimes by staying between my feet while I walk. I called their father, a stray I named Buddy, a "furry shackle". Sometimes Magic will dart across my path. Yes, I've almost tripped over each of the boys from time to time and stepped on paws, but they keep coming back for more. They try to lead me where I'm going, but they walk slower than I need/want to, but I can't seem to make them understand that they should just step aside and let me pass. I'm glad they're such loves though. They've helped me through some tough times.

Wow you have a lot of cats! I find it hard taking care of just 2 of them. My other cat Bubba is very aloof and will come to me only on his terms. He loves to sit on your shoulder and doesn't care who it is. When I'm on the couch he gets on my shoulder and eats my hair. They have helped me through some tough times too.

I have my dog who constantly follows me. One time, I decided to rush things up and started to run, then my dog suddenly blocked my path and I almost fall to the ground with that incident. Luckily, I managed to stand and did not hit my head on the ground. That incident really boiled me and I was like scolding and yelling my dog during that time.
