In some countries, induced abortion maybe a moral even legal big problem, induced abortion is forbidden. But in China it seems like a little accident, girls and women go to hospital to have abortion operations just like treating a cold.More than 10 million little lives disappear in mom'wombs per year for all kinds of reason, such as young parents are not ready to welcome new borns. It is so cruel. What do you think about it?Is that happen in your countries?

I'm sorry to be different to everyone else, but I've never seen the point in trying to prevent abortions and feel that they should be readily available to everyone.
There are many reasons why a person might wish to have an abortion, some good and some bad, but if they aren't able to have the opperation legally and safely they are far more likely to find an illegal way of doing it and so put their life in danger.
Rather than have this happen by making abortions illegal, wouldn't it be better to educate people and provide contaceptives so that the need for an abortion is greatly reduced. But then you would still have the need from those who are the victim of rape or who are too young or ill to safely carry a child to full term or simply because of an accident or overly passionate encounter..
And, in my opinion, it's far worse to have a baby brought into this world and then simply dicarded because it isn't loved and wanted.

Normally/Morally i wouldnt agree with abortion and would be against it.
But these are not normal nor moral times, so i think abortion should be legal. We don't have to encourage it, but it should certainly be legal and if a woman/girl/child wants to abort her baby/child, she should definitely have the option to do it. For free or for a price, but not an enormous price.
Simply because there is already a huge overpopulation problem on the planet that keeps on getting bigger day by day.
I mean sure we could go all radical fanatical GOD GOD this and GOD GOD that, but when push come to shove and there is no food, no water, complete anarchy and people are slaughtering each other and eating each other (euhhh) there will be no GOD to protect anyone.
So i completely disagree with religious fanatics/freaks that use religion in order to justify why they are against abortions.
Maybe if all those people would be willing to sign a document that says they have to kill themselves if humanity ever starves or runs out of water. Maybe then i can support their cause, because they'd be willing to die for it.
I mean as far as i am concerned, i want the child i will have one day to be able to survive, eat, drink, etc. And someone thinks i will care about their 250.000 children per woman, they couldnt be more wrong. Id gladly trade 250.000 lives for my 1 child. And that's not being selfish. Not being selfish is not adding to the overpopulation.
Unless humanity manages to establish colonies on other planets. In that case, yeah lets ban abortions and all is well :)

So I absolutely love this response, "we could all go radical fanatical GOD GOD this and GOD GOD that, but when push came to shove and there is no food, no water, complete anarchy and people are slaughtering each other and eating each other there will be no GOD to protect anyone"
So true.
I don't really want to bring my religious views into this, but having a baby is a gift of life, but we already have the gift of life... ourselves. Aborting is not a sin, not in my books because honestly here in Canada there are strict regulations on when you can abort a baby... meaning you can't do it if it is too far along (obviously)...
We are all organisms! We all start out as SINGLE CELLS, and in the beginning of that first trimester, your baby is nothing more than THIS. So, honestly, I think people have no right to claim GOD GOD this and GOD GOD that when it comes to abortion. A mother has every right to say whether she wants to carry her child or not, and if she wants to abort it, then so be it.
It is not murder until it is considered human. The only reason people are so against it is because they know that a Fetus has the potential to become a human, and people can't justify murdering that opportunity... and yet LegalAlien is right in saying that when it comes down to it... I don't want my child dealing with 250,000 other people who want to kill it because there isn't enough water, nor enough food.
I just posted about Thomas Hobbes on another response and basically he states in his book the Leviathan that the natural state of humankind is the state of perpetual war and that if it weren't for a governing sovereign then we would be living in a life that is, "nasty, brutish, and short," and therefore be living for only survival. Our natural state is to survive and kill, so this isn't that far off... we will abort our babies if we cannot support it, not allowed to have it, or don't want a miserable future for it...
there is nothing wrong with this.
What is wrong with abortion is that every one views it as a free pass to killing something that we don't want. People really need to let it go, for people will be people, and people will make their own decisions based on their life.
We only have one life to live, we might as well let the already living live it.
We don't need to populate the world with more of us. It already has too much and by adding to the population we are only killing ourselves faster. Simple.

Wow that is a loooong answer. You honor me :D
Exactly we are all organisms. At least up to a point, as you pointed out the first trimester. No harm done because you are not "killing" a human. If that was the case than they should shout about killing organisms. Which in turn would make it illegal to kill a mosquito :D
And another great point you made, aborting in order to protect the child from being tortured in this life. I mean what is preferrable, to abort? or to bring a child into a world only for the poor thing to be tortured day in and day out, or end up in a trash can or somewhere in the woods or at a church's doorstep, growing up without parents etc. I mean that is selfish, i would say. And i think the parenting instinct wouldnt let one create a life that is part of one, only for that life to suffer. That's just wrong, on many levels, and selfish.
Kementari. I like you. And i envy you because of the country you live in. I wish i was somewhere else than where i am right now. But not anywhere else. Canada, USA etc, one of those 2-5 countries in that niche :D
Anyway. Have a great one. :)

As a person who was born in a place where we believe life is precious. Abortion is murder. Seven years ago, I got pregnant and I plan to abort that child, I am at my lowest point and afraid that my parents and relatives were going to scold be. But then I thank God that I did not pursue that thing. My conscience surely will haunt me. I am now thankful and blessed that I have my son with me right now.
Yes, I got pregnant at a very young, it was a mistake but my son was indeed a blessing in my part.

It is hard to answer a question involving life but for me it depends on the situation abortion is better let the child born than let him suffer for the rest of his life. In the other hand why let the fetus form when you are not ready. Why NOT prevent the formulation of a fetus before it was too late.

in some cases there are reasons why induced abortion need to be done, yes it happens also in some countries because of the population growth, the way we can do is to pray for the little angels that didn't give a chance to be born. i am quiet sad when i am hearing news like this because as a mother i am over protected to my kids and really love my kids, i don't know the idea of some younger parents to not let their child be born.

In our country it is strictly prohibited . Abortion is a process of killing , killing is a sin thats why it shouldn't be tolerated. Here in the philippines , the government introduces the use of contraceptives to the public to avoid overflowing population.

here in our country it is never been legal to abort babies and it's a mortal sin Making a baby is a serious matter a gift of life that God gave us but of course in reality in general its obscene and just like an ordinary action not giving so much importance and value just to comfort the needs sexually, no surprise that in China it is legal probably the main reason since it's a huge country is to control population to sustain the needs of their citizens. But personally, I disapprove abortion it losses the value of Life
