Right now I'm trading in forex and theirs already a mobile platform so I can trade using either smartphone or tablet. Right now I like tablet because of its bigger screen that smartphone. But same time its awkward if I want to make a call and I'm using a tablet. Just imagine a big square thing in your ear. lols. Just kidding. As we can use bluetooth earphone if we want to make a call anyway.
Right now I'm excited and same time undecided.

I have a smartphone and a tablet both Samsung. They have the same features and the only big difference is the size.
If you ain't comfy of big sizes then go with a smartphone instead. Besides you can do Mylot in both devices.
Either way it is still your choice, just keep pn researching about specifications of both devices and decide on ot based.on your preferences.
Goodluck! :-)

I have been seeing more and more people carrying a tablet of their own so when my network carrier offered a tablet and a smartphone in one plan, I took it since I can already renew my subscription. But sadly, it has been a month since I reserved for those units and they say that there still no delivery until yesterday so I just took a smartphone for a lesser plan subscription. I think it is still cool and a lot better and faster than my current smartphone. I was testing the unit last evening and I actually liked it.
They also offer this so called phablet, which are smartphone with 5" or more lcd. I think it would suit you since it is bigger than the usual phone but not as big as tablet.

I like big screen tablet as I always go online and trade in forex so using big screen is really helpful. I'm more on what I need than what I want. But same time I really want to have both tablet and smartphone as my cellphone is already more than 5 years old.

hehe if you do need to see the figures bigger, then i think you will have to choose the one with bigger screen. =) hehe if more important is for you to have a convenient device that you can bring with you any time and more conveniently then that should be cellular phones.

I'm more on the function than convenient. That's why right now I decided to put my aim to a tablet. And that tablet is samsung galaxy 10.1 to be exact. I do like the tablet features. Right now the function of tablet is much more important than smartphone as the main reason why I want to use tablet is to trade in forex.

I have a smartphone and the ipad mie, which I use for playing games. I like the size of both the smartphone and the ipad mini, as the ipad mini is 7.9" in size, in comparison to the 10.1" the other tablets are. My smartphone has a 4.8" screen, which is pretty good size for a phone, I think. I can take my ipad mini with me as I can put it in my purse, but the thing with that is, if there is no wifi, and I need it for something, then I wouldn't have it. I use my smartphone while I am gone away from home, sinc ethe size is more convenient, and I don't have to use wifi to be on the internet, as long as I have a connection that is. I wish you the best in your decision though, but you can't go wrong with eithe ra smartphone or a tablet. Take care, and have a very good day.

That's good. What is important is that we are happy with what we have. Me I like to buy 10.1 inch and actually what I like is samsung galaxy 10.1 tablet. Its because I don't buy it to play games but I want to buy it to use for forex trading. That's my main goal.

Nice. Anyway what tablet do you have? Theirs only few tablet that has cellular so I guess you have a high end on. Me I'm thinking of buying samsung galaxy 10.1 tablet. Its seems complete with all that I need in here. One problem though is that its memory is only 16 GB and I need to have external if I want to have more memory.

Know your lifestyle, Bulastika. If you're a caller use the smarphone. So it won't be awkward to see you talking for a long time in a big pad. If you're more of an Internet person, choose the tablet. So it's not like you're browsing in a little TV. They're both multi-function but decide which fits your lifestyle more. Good luck! ;)

The main reason why I want tablet is because I can use it in my trading activity. The main reason why I want new smartphone because my cellphone is already seven years old. Its ironic that when I buy my cellphone before its worth about 32,000 pesos plus. But now it obsolete.

Hi bulastika,
I think you can solve your problem by getting a phablet which is basically a smart phone with tablet features. The screen size is in between a smart phone and a tablet. You should be able to put it comfortably into your pocket or handbag. An example of a phablet is Samsung Note 2 which is selling like hotcakes. Apple is rumored to be coming out with one! Perhaps you can wait for it or if not there are other brands that may suit your requirements. Have a smart day.

Thanks for the idea. It seems Samsung note 2 is more of a smartphone than a tablet. I now prefer to use samsung galaxy 10.1 instead. I'm hoping to make good of samsung galaxy since its also has a usb that I needed most so that I can transfer data or use usb to connect to my laptop. I also like galaxy because its can be use as mobile phone also.

It's simple if you want a device for Forex trading than a tablet is the way to go. If I had to get a tablet I would go for the Ipad or maybe the Ipad mini if you're worried about size. If you want to make calls and a smartphone that is fairly sized I would go for Samsung's Galaxy S series.

I don't like Ipad. I prefer Samsung galaxy 10.1 tablet. I prefer bigger screen as I need bigger screen to trade in forex. Beside I don't think the Ipad features is good as samsung. Ipad does not have usb. Samsung galaxy has. And theirs many more features that I can use in samsung galaxy 10 that I can't find in Ipad.

Me too, I do like to use tablet. Beside I already have a six years old phone and a one year old laptop but I don't have a tablet yet. So I guess my priority will be laptop then second smarthphone then I'm sure later on I will buy again another laptop as m laptop will be obsolete by then.

I already have a smartphone of Sony and a IPad. And both of them have their own advantages. Smartphone is very convenient when you are outside. You can almost do anything what you do on a tablet. But I always dissatisfied with its small screen because I like to read e-books any time of the day when I am free. And a tablet can solve this problem. But there are so many repeat functions between them. From an objective point of view, since you've asked this question, it means that you have enough money to buy a smartphone, and a smartphone is always more expensive than a tablet in nowadays. So my advice is, you can buy a tablet, and using the rest money to buy a phone. Using the phone do a phone's thing, and using the tablet do a tablet's thing! LOL

That's what attract me in tablet also the big screen and I do like the 10 inch tablet of samsung. That's what I want to buy right now if I have money to buy in the first place. lols. I guess samsung galaxy 10.1 is some how an old model as its already existed since late 2011 right? But for me it the features that is important.

Wow that's exciting... having new gadgets is always a good feeling..Both are good, they are good because they cater different features..but if you want convenience.. I'll go with smart phone, its easy to carry, you can put it in your pocket, you can play games, you can browse the net and at the same time can be used as phone..all in one!

Its good feeling if we have money to buy. Right now now its more like a luxury than a need for me today. Since I have a one year old laptop and a six years old mobile phone right now that some how I can still use to trade in forex. If I do earn 1,000 dollars a month then I will going to buy definitely. But right now I don't have any money yet. So I end up just having a plans.

I think if you are using it for trading a tablet is the way to go, smartphone is too small and you probably already have a smartphone right now anyway. If you are concerned about size and is on the move a lot, an iPad mini will suit your purposes, friends and I checked through 7" tablets and all felt iPad mini is the best of the lot, huge screen for this footprint size.

I prefer the 10" size like samsung 10.1 I think this is the one that I'm going to buy. Right now the price is still high for me. I our country it still cost between 27,000 pesos to 29,000 pesos. I'm hoping that the price will go down to 25,000 pesos before I'm going to buy one. I'm not after for it status I'm only after for its function.

if you have enough money,i suggest you to buy both of them.the smartphone is smart when you are outside.the tablet is all-powerful and have a bigger screen than the smartphone.if you don't have enough money, i suggest you to buy the tablet, you can take it as a smartphone, but you can't take the smartphone as a tablet.

That's true. that's why I prefer to buy tablet than smartphone. Beside in term of function the main function of a smartphone is as a phone so since I have a working cellphone until now and if its going to broke down I can simply buy a cheap one I don't see any reason why I will going to prioritize smartphone simply because my cellphone is already a six years old phone. But tablet on other hand is what I need to trade in forex.

Actually for me its the other way around. I do forex trading and I guess you already know that if your read my post and in forex trading I can use tablet more as its more like a laptop while if I'm going to use smartphone then I can end up getting smaller screen and smaller scree means its hard to trade in my part.

The tablet that I want and the smartphone that I like has almost the same price range. But I still do like to prefer tablet. My eyes are not that good anymore so I really need to make sure that I can get a bigger screen. That's why I prefer to buy smartphone. But when? That's the big question as I don't have enough cash to buy new tablet right now.

I have smartphone which I like, but I don't Mylot on it, I only use it for making phone calls, I had a tablet I liked it but, it stopped working because I dropped it, so I won't be buying me another tablet,I am through with tablets, now I do like the Samsung S3 smartphone, I think that is a very nice phone, and big to and they have Samsung S4 coming out this month, I am thinking about buying me one.

You drop it? I like samsung features also that's the smartphone and the tablet features that I like I found in samsung. I prioritize tablet right now for needs reason. I do forex trading so I really need to have an alternative laptop and the alternative laptop is tablet for me right now as I can trade even if I'm on the go. Beside theirs a samsung tablet that has phone features as well.

HI friend, if you work as trader in forex, I think it is a good idea if you buy tablet, because it can safe your eyes. If you want call or receive call you can use bluetooth earphone. Remember, wide screen will keep your eyes healthy. Your eyes is the most important for your activity.

That's true. Since I bought a new laptop with small screen I feel that my eyes get tired easily. Anyway I'm happy that some how that I'm earning in forex. But my earnings is not enough to buy me a new tablet yet. But if ever I do earn good then I will going to buy tablet first then cellphone later on.
