I decided to take a break

This has got to be my most unproductive day so far when it comes to online work. I literally did NOT do anything! I was supposed to write several articles for a certain employer, which I haven't even started; I didn't submit any articles in EC or Bubblews; and I even turned down a transcription job. For some reason, I got so lazy today.
Instead, I just played with my little one and decided to bond with her, the whole afternoon. I also prepared homemade pizza for dinner as per husband's request :) I feel like I neglected some of my duties because I was too preoccupied with work that's why I'm trying to make up for the lost time.
So there, I took a break. And I promise to be back on my working self again tomorrow :)
How about you myLotters - was there a time when you're just not in the mood to do anything work-related? What did you do instead?

Oh, a lot of times I felt like doing absolutely nothing. I would just watch TV or catch up on some reading, practice my cooking or baking skills (or the lack thereof), and finding some creative ways to spend time with my loved ones. W all need some downtime once in a while.

Yes! It´s true it happened to me yesterday. I took a break, I cooked for my family, I spent quality time with them, and I promised to work hard today on my online work.
I think it is a balance that life asks.

I know that feeling, yes I've taken a break from internet daily routine for almost two months.
And after having that long break- still I am too lazy to start any- (duh)
Now I am trying to catch up with everything that I missed :)

I think you deserve a two day break.
It's not easy for busy people to actually LIVE their lives.

Your employer is an angel. I hope mine previous one was just as good, but sadly, she's a witch.

I wish I could take a break sometimes. I cant. I have so much to do each day. I need 36 hour days, not 24. Come help me on your breaks.

to cash out around may 15th, i guess you know by now that you need to earn at least $10 by april 30th. you can boost your earnings by using mylot's search function to earn rewards.
also, when you respond to other people's discussions, you can also put comments inside other people's response boxes before adding your own response, which will go to the bottom in its own response box. but somehow when i do this, i no longer feel the need to post my own response because i've already posted several comments but i know i still earn for them.
the purpose of working at home is to spend more time with family, to not be drained by the long commute. so being at home but online all the time (then catching up on sleep, or being cranky from lack of sleep, or worse, getting sick from overwork) eventually defeats the original objective. it's actually good to let go of "opportunities" once in a while, because with online jobs, you are assured that you can always come back or find other sources.

That's why I'm trying my best to be active here in myLot to be able to cash out on the 15th of May :)
Actually, I don't intend to take long breaks, like going offline for weeks or months. A day off is good enough for me and relax myself because my writing job is pretty exhausting these days. I don't want to force myself to write since it will eventually show in my work. That's why yesterday, I chose to rest and spend the whole day with my daughter :)

I go through that all the time, when I don't want to work online, I feel lazy and just don't want to do anything,so I sometime go to my other earning web sites and work on those sites, so I won't lose out in making money, for that day all together.

Sometimes I get like that too. On those kind of days, I do whatever I am in the mood for. Sometimes you just have to listen to your body or your instinct.
And when it comes to little ones, cherish what time you do have with them. I know everyone will tell you, them being little does not last long and it is very true. Its just hard to comprehend that fact until you experience it first hand.

True. Rather than submitting a senseless article, I'd rather sit down and do nothing and wait for the creative juices to come in :)
And yes, I'm really making up for the lost time with my daughter. And even if I'm working, I stay in the same room with her so at least I'll be able to supervise :)

Hey, you are not the only here, and you merely feel unproductive for a day. I felt that I being unproductive for 2 months on online earning already. I didn't make any minimum payment from mylot, until last month, I decided to took a hard hit, and rush up to $9.00, but I still couldn't make it to $10.00 by the end of March. Now, it is toward the middle of April, I still not making it to $10.00. Don't you see how unproductive I am here.

Thanks :)
Even if I'm a work-from-home mom, balancing work and family can still be difficult. I need to juggle everything and make sure everything is attended to. That's why it can be exhausting too that's why I took a break. After all, family comes first :)

oh, that's normal.i always have one or two days in which i feel too tired to do anything.at first,i think it must be something wrong with my health.but gradually i realize that this is a kind of physiologic phenomenon.so let it be.in those special days, you do everything according your own heart.don't mind you are unnormal, things must be better tomorrow morning.

I don't know. I just feel like I'm missing out a lot and neglecting my other responsibilities because I was too busy with online work. But I'll still try to be productive as possible since the jobs that I have now are really paying - not that it can sustain my needs for the whole month but at least I have something :)
And yes, it will be a better morning :)
