What do you think North Korea is up to?

I have just read that a medium range missile has been spotted in an upright firing position. Do you think this is the real deal? Do you think we are facing a nuclear war? I think all this mess is about North Koreas internal political struggle. I think Kim Yong Un is not as sovereign as it may seem. He has to side with the militarist within the government and they have to act up to keep the population in fear and blind. The government must understand that nobody will gain anything from the likes of the conflict that is supposed to unfold. North Korea lacks the resources to endanger USA and Japan, who will I believe stand behind they're ally South Korea. There will therefore hopefully be no lauch.

while they claim that they are only testing I have my own thought about it for far to long the USA seams to get involved in every single war well my thought is bring back all the men and women that are actively fighting wars we don't need to spill another drop of blood unless they are attacking the USA it self we are looking for ways to save money well all the trillions of dollars we would save by bringing home all the troops

I agree bringing troops home should be a priority for the USA. But in this case it is the US under attack. I believe the US has had bad campaigns, that have made a bad reputation for it. A question that haunts my mind is whether it is possible to maintain a capable military, while you are avoiding all conflicts and sitting back on your own soil. I think that while being an enormous economic burden it keeps US military fighting fit and new tactics and weapons tested. I dont claim that to be good, but I do believe it is so.

Well these are just threats and nothing more .North Korea is dependent on China ,and in current scenario China wont support any plan of nuclear war.Its highly unlikely that North Korea will go to war on its own, they just cant afford it.So i agree , there wont be any launch hopefully.Best wishes

I think North Korea is just flexing it's muscle, but any attack on USA would be totally foolish and futile, on it's own North Korea hasn't got a chance, and I heard on the radio today that China is having talks with the US. It's a big storm in a teacup and trouble has always been brewing in North Korea. There always seems to be threats going backwards and forwards and I very much doubt if it will come to anything, North Korea will back down, for now, until it starts up again in the future as always has done.

If this chubby young bandit launched his missile contain nuclear warhead, then he may have the chance to witness the destructive power of 'nuke' onto Korean Peninsula in real time and experience the horrific scene of radioactive fall out other than just heat and shock wave from his own invention. It will full fill his own prophecy of living in 'a sea of fire' for all the Korean people, hopefully this young thug realize that it is not video war game anymore he is playing now, it is a real thing outside his pork head. His quest of world attention had been met and it is time for him to present his demand on South Korea and Asia in his extortion scheme, and get ready to receive more concession and money coming his way through South Korea from international community.

I am hoping that it is just a test. We have lost too many people to wars that we didn't need to be in. I am praying for peace but that is probably a long ways away.

they only want to sign a formal peace treaty with USA,that's all north korea is a small country under the huge military pressure of us,south korea and JAPAN kIM JONG UN want to put an end to this endless, unbearable state of military confrontation which hamper the further development of north korea. So he invited Rodman to visit north korea and told him he want to be a friend of USA.....

I don't know what is really going on over there but it all sounds pretty scary. I feel bad for South Korea and all the trouble it has had with North Korea. War is awful no matter what because innocent lives are always lost.

North Korea's official said that the test was delayed because some technical problems about Windows 8.Maybe Kim Jong-un is considering declaring war on Microsoft.Since he is busy with the OS, there will probably a comparatively longtime before their next plan.
