Have you heard of The book depository? It's an online book store with free worldwide delivery. I have heard about this book store lately, and found some books that I wanted to buy. Also, the price is about the same as Amazon's or less expensive. I have also heard many good comments about the book store, the after-sale service is good. Some of my friends did not receive the books, and the book store just re-sent the books to them. I do not really like to buy things online as the postage might be really expensive, especially buying things from foreign country. Also, it might get lost, or the products might not be in good condition when we receive them. My local post office service is really not that good.
I really wanted to buy these two books, and couldn't find it locally, so I gave it a try last month. I was lucky to just in time to enjoy the 10% discount when I bought them. I just received the books and the books are still in good condition. I am really excited about it, and can't wait to read them.

Hi there Kaka135!
I have not heard of that site. I am checking it out as of the moment, looking for some fiction books. It's great that the delivery is free. I am also usually worried about that whenever I am buying stuff online. Thank you so much for sharing that site.

I checked out the website and put in three different books I might be interested in. They all were available but for more than what Amazon offers them for. I think that this may be a gimmick to get people to come into their site. The free shipping all over that is. I think I will stay with Amazon. Thanks for the info though.

Cool I am definitely checking it out. How can they afford to offer free shipping worldwide, though? I have found a lot of different sites to buy used books (they are super cheap!) Thriftbooks and Amazon I have had the most luck with. I will check this out though - thanks!

Thanks for telling me and other My Lot members about The Book Depository. It is great to hear that it gives free delivery. It is wonderful that the books are less expensive than Amazon. I sometimes buy books or other items from Amazon in the UK. An on-line book store with worldwide free delivery is amazing

I will have to check it out, thanks for the heads up on the site.
I love amazon for books, and gohastings is another site I've gone to, but I'll add bookdepository to my list as well now.
Happy Reading!
About how long did it take to get to you?

Hi kaka135,
Actually I would rather buy an ebook. The physical book has so many disadvantages which I feel far outweigh the advantages. The main grouse I have is the problem of space. My house is so full of hard copy books that I have no space left for anything else. On the other hand an ebook takes up so little space (in a thumb drive) and hardly noticeable. So I'm not too excited about this new bookdepository site. Thanks for the info anyway. Have a good day.

Wow! Thanks a ton for the link! It really is great to find a site that sends books free anywhere in the world! I normally buy from amazon but the shipping is too expensive to India and hence many times have to give up on some books! Now I might find what I like and get them at a cheaper rate! Thanks again!

Hello! Thank you for this good information. I will definitely look for it and search for ministerial books and materials for church. I hope they have the full volume of the commentary I want for my personal use. Again, thank you for this post.

I was so excited by your post and I checked out the site immediately. I still think the prices are higher compared to used books on ebay but if it means added security that you will receive the item you ordered, it makes sense. I have only bought from ebay and there is always delay with delivery but I think it has to do with the postal service in my country.

Thanks for sharing the information. Recently someone started a new online book store with free delivery. I think it is a good effort for a small local start up. Maybe you will find something interesting there? You can find it on FB (http://www.facebook.com/Bookurve) and it has a website as well to order online.
