When can I take a pregnancy test?

I'm fairly certain I had implantation bleeding two days ago. I ovulate at a different point in my cycle each month. I am supposed to get my period next week, but am fairly certain I ovulated at least two - three weeks ago. When is the soonest I can take a home pregnancy test that will show up positive? I will probably take one in about 6 days, and another one a few days later, and again a few days later before going to the doctor to get a blood test. But if I am pregnant (and my body is giving my several signs that I am) when is the earliest I can take a home pregnancy test if I had implantation bleeding two days ago? The waiting is killing me!

I took my first pregnancy test around 32nd day after my first menstruation. The line is blurred so I thought that the result is negative. I repeated it on my 36th day and I receive a positive result. Some PT can detect pregnancy as early as the missed period.

While there are home pregnancy tests that are intended to be able to take 7 days before your missed period I have wasted so much money on them. When I was pregnant with my oldest daughter I was actually 3 months pregnant and had not had a period in that amount of time. The pharmacy reccomended the 7 days early test saying it was the most accurate and sensitive to the human growth hormone and I took 7 of them that all said I wasn't pregnant. I ended up going for a blood test because I couldn't figure out just why I wasn't getting a period! Lol With my youngest two children I waited til I was a day late on my period and took a dollar pregnancy test from the Dollar Tree. Showed up positive both times. It is also important to note that although many many many people get a false negative on home pregnancy tests that very rarely do you get a false positive (can still happen, just super rare). My suggestion is that no matter how hard it is to wait it is smart to just keep yourself busy and keep yourself healthy in the meantime. You will save so much money, doing things that wait. Good luck!

If you think you are supposed to have your period by next week and did not have it. then wait for another week before you take a pregnancy test. I had an irregular menstrual cycle. Meaning there were times that I would skip a month without having my period. When I got married, the period has become a bit normal. One time I missed just 4 days and had that hunch. My heart pounding real hard, I took the pregnancy test, and it showed positive. That happened to me 3x.

I think the best time to take a pregnancy test is next week, when you do not receive your period. Because, it is the best milestone for your fetus to grow her root of placenta in your uterus. Pregnancy test will predict the presence of the some enzymes from root of placenta. Be patient, avoid stress, enjoy with your waiting, if you stress, it bring bad effect to your zygote.

You can safely take one by two weeks of suspected pregnancy, and it should be fairly accurate at that point. Some tests you can do within a week, but it is tough to know how accurate they are. If you wait until 2 weeks, you should get an accurate test.
