Many people not really like the new features of Windows 8, and that is the case certainly for my cousin and one of co - worker. They complained about the not easy to use features, and they rather going back to Windows 7 rather than 8? What do you think? For me, due to curiosity, and I certainly need a new laptop computer, I decided to purchased a Asus touch - screen notebook online. At the first glimpse, I am not familiar with Windows 8 either, and I have scroll through screen after screen, still not really figure out how to make it easy for me. Eventually, I have to resort to online help, and follow those online instruction to browse on the new Windows features. Now, I kind of okay with it, and I won't complain too much about how difficult to use Windows 8. So, I would stay with Windows 8. What about you?

No..im not okay anymore.. Windows will always slows down after a year or so..then they need to upgrade this and that..i ahd it with windows.. just waiting for Android OS to be fully functional in the laptop or desktop level..then i will switch when that time comes..its more faster ..less headache..

If you want an Android-like OS for computers, use Linux or another Unix based os. There are many, and Android is based off of Unix just as Linux is.

Oh yea, I forgot about Chromebook. It is in early stages though, so it may be a little while before it goes full on, but when it does, it will definitely be worth looking at.

I think windows 8 is good. more lightly than windows 7. besides look good and fresh, Windows 8 also gives a very good security system with bitdefender.

Yes Windows 8 has had a lot of trouble. A lot of people don't like the massive change from 7-8, but for those willing to accept that it has changed and try it out, and maybe look up how to use it, it isn't really that bad. It is generally faster than and of its predecessors (other than opening control panel, for some reason that has been ridiculously slow for me). I disliked it at first because I found it frustrating adjusting to it, but over time I slowly got used to it and now if I have trouble finding something I just quickly look it up. In general, I am on the classic desktop, so I know how to do everything there, and I know the start button is replaced by the start screen. The start screen is the thing which is a bit more difficult to navigate, but over time I have been figuring more and more out. All in all, I am fine with it, and it is actually a nice advancement if you are willing to look past the trouble of figuring out the changes.

If you are getting used to it, than use it. But I will never recommend it to anyone. I always recommends Win XP or Win 7. Win 8 is pre-loaded in newer PCs. Many people don't like Win 8. It's just an individual choice

Well, at first glance at the GUI I believe that I won't be using it anytime soon. My attitude is that the GUI should be as minimalistic as possible and that new start menu isn't minimalistic. Also they removed the start button too. So I believe, I'll be sticking to Windows 7 for a long time.

Hi, I met Windows 8 sometime ago and we did not go well right from the very beginning. It was installed on the newer desktop and did ran faster. One thing that set me off are the command boxes that kept on disappearing every time I point my mouse in another part of the screen. Gone is the familiar start button and when I need the command buttons, it took the forever to hunt them where they are hidden. No, I"d rather go back to Win XP or the 64 bit Win 7 which go well with my higher spec hardware.

I am using both Windows 7 and Windows 8. Only the way things are presented is different. For Windows 7, you have the usual Start button. Windows 8 does not show this on start up. Instead it gives you many 'boxes' with many contents in them. It has been designed with touch screens in mind. It is not hard to find your desktop among the boxes. Once you're in the desktop, you can access your files and programs the usual way. As for the missing 'start' button, I just use the search function to look for the programs I need. It is just a matter of getting use to.

i hate windows 8. I have it installed on my laptop. There is so much of back and forth for every screen. No basic things like a calculator and even snipping tool.I dint understand where the exit windows was for such a long time. Its absolutely not user friendly. It must be good for smartphones but its not so smart on the pc. I personally am not a fan.
