Chinese and Americans say "I love you"

Lsat sunday, I saw a show which is for people to find lovers.
An american girl said chinese is very open minded,and easier to say I love you, maybe only a few monthes.
I puzzled. In our opinion, Americans are much open. Is the movies or the news impacted us a wrong direction?

I think that it depends upon the person and it will be very hard to generalize. Maybe it is because of that girl's personal experience. Some Americans may easily open up about their feelings for another person but just like other people, sometimes, it's hard for them to be sure that's why they do not tell others how they feel right away. I still think that it is a case-to-case basis.
