I am your alarm clock
I wonder why you're waking up so early
I hear you when you snore
I see your hand coming at me
I want you to be on time
I am your alarm clock
I pretend you throwing me across the room doesn't hurt
I feel your fingers poking my buttons
I touch your buttons by waking you up early
I worry you might not dust me
I cry beep beep wake up
I am your alarm clock
I understand you have days off
I say good for you
I dream of numbers
I try to be reliable
I hope you never throw me away
I am your alarm clock

Hi there Oldsoul! Welcome to Mylot! Nice username you have.
That is a very nice poem. I enjoyed reading it and can relate to the lines. It also made me feel sad on how we hate our alarm clock when it is just doing its job. Very effective writing.

I have read your other poem too, the one about letting go and it is touching. You are, indeed, a gifted poet.

wow..really a nice poem. A different theme. General yet unthoughtful. I mean i never thought of writing a poem on an alarm clock but see you have written and so well.
Hats off for thinking differently and implementing it with your poetic skill
I hope you will keep sharing your poems here.
